Not to take anything away from Julie, but..

You mean the encounter where she said you intimidated her?  That\'s it?  I\'m reading your posts and you seem to be implying more was going on.  What was that about \"I have nothing to hide, unlike JK and GS?\"  Sounded like you had something bigger to say.  If that\'s it, for my money the hitting someone with a chair story is better.

Given the fact that she won riding titles at five tracks it\'s hard to put any stock in your comment that \"nobody liked her.\"  Maybe in your circle, or with the other jocks.  But obviously some horsemen must\'ve liked her plenty, given her record.  If Rosie keeps lighting it up I\'m sure some of the jocks won\'t like her either.

Not certain Julie was a woman the way she manhandled horses. The Monkey thought she was a good as any rider on the circuit except maybe himself.

Julie was an annoying little urchin that would never shut up but she was an excellent rider. Anna Rose is a tough little rider also but she\'s no Julie Krone yet, comparisons premature.

Miff - agreed but this is besides the point.  You\'re giving your opinion and that\'s fine.

This is not fine.  Plus it\'s really patronizing and arrogant, and I can\'t blame Rich for responding to it the way he did.  Not fair to have this floating around without challenging it.  WTF is MO talking about and when is his book with all the real dirt coming out?  And then he comes out with this stuff about his girlfriend.  Who cares?

In her time and place, I don\'t think Julie Krone could afford to worry about being LIKED.  She wasn\'t there to be LIKED, she was there to win races.  Just don\'t like the posts.

I was highlighting the fact that I was there on an everyday basis - an insider - not just some fan watching from afar in California. Rich\'s comment about GS came out of left field, so I lumped the 2 together and suggested a round table discussion. I figured maybe he knew GS and maybe he could let me in on what GS thinks of me. wink.

And I make no apologies for percieved arrogance. I always tell the truth - about what I see, what I hear and what I do, warts and all. If that\'s arrogance, then racing needs more people like me and should get rid of those who keep sweeping the dirt under the rug and kicking the can down the road. I didn\'t quit NYRA just because I hit a big Pick 6. I quit because it was dirty. Looks like I made an accurate assesment too.

See below. And this, MO, is just a start:

Hey, look, I was not gonna post because of the obvious flak I\'d get by folks who wouldn\'t know what they were looking at in walkover, but if anybody thinks Stevens didn\'t use a buzzer in this race.....arghhhhh!!!!!!!!!! Its just so damn obvious!!!!!!!!!! Horses don\'t get shut off like that, take up and win a sixteenth of a mile home and draw away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Watch Macho Uno\'s tail just after he took up. Thats when the buzzer was applied.
