Ask the Experts / Re: Awful quiet out there...
November 06, 2020, 06:36:59 AM
I\'ll grab the horseplayers favorite part of a card like this, the undercard:

I thought Reconvene in the 3rd had a shot and with the two scratches draws closer inside. He got to a top after being gelded then at PIM was pinched after the break then lost all of his position, trailing farther than normal. He rallied inside onto heels, angled 2w then found traffic again to get up for 3rd.

That course was strange that day and I\'m willing to say he was the best out of that race. 8/1 and I\'ll use with some others - including what was mentioned in the Analysis (without giving anything away).

Ask the Experts / Diamond Oops has an Oops?

Team - Within the Final Figures provided in the Race of the Week Diamond Oops, winner of the Friday finale, is missing the \"negative\" note for hiis last GP race. Just making sure you are aware. Thanks.

How many horse players are googling \"inscrutable\" and \"scrutable\"?

Certainly. The A/A/B would be the largest ticket then A/B/A then A/A/C and so on. This is all dependent on the budget the player has for the race/wager.

In this scenario there are two \"A\" horses so both have to hit the board. If I play an A B C then one of my A\'s is 4th or worse. (If I believe in my A horses they should hit the board - not saying they always do!)

I apologize for responding days later but didn\'t want my response to be about the WO Mile contenders but rather the format of the ticket you describe.

If a horse is an A I can\'t have a ticket where that selection is off the board. The entrant is an A for a reason, because I think it has a high percentage of winning or his odds are drastically over inflated. I don\'t want my A horses to run 1/2 and be light because I spread and played them to finish behind B & C horses.

There was a Million Dollar Grade 1 ($400k more) a few weeks later she won.

Lot\'s of concern after the draw about how bad it was to draw the 1 hole. No complaints on that position post race!

We\'ve caught off turf courses on some really big days lately:

Last years Derby Day with an X rail, Breeders Cup with an X rail and the Pegasus Cup with a bog.

You don\'t have to apologize to anyone on this board.

One issue of NYRABets I\'ve never understood is their inability to be in additional states. I\'m able to wager through their competition but not them. I want to take advantage of their partnership with Thorograph but they won\'t let me.

Ahh, thank you!

Is 11 years long enough that we hear how well Thorograph did on that race? lol

I tried to find the broadcast on Youtube but it only has the race from the gate - I noticed the drop when they were loading. I do not remember how much (12 years will do that). The ROTW for the race is still on this site as well.

Student Council is the one that stands out to me from the list. Not because he was the fastest or made more or less but because I remember a specific detail about him. The Pacific Classic was on TV and the camera had gone behind the gate watching them load. The odds were on the screen and I saw the change when the bet on him appeared. That was the largest odds drop I\'ve ever seen on a race of that size in one tick. I knew then Thoro was getting paid.

Someday I\'d like to hear that story.
