Speaking of the second race. Talk about an irregular payout. I had a 40$exacta with this combo and it paid $200 It should have easily paid 450-600 on derby day. I started the day getting hosed and it only got worse from there.

I was at the simulcast for the Ark Derby and after AA crossed the wire I watched the gallop out and a horse closed very strongly and passed him ( I think)galloping out very strongly. I think it was Andromedas Hero but here is the dilema. I just got the past performance and the horse ( A Hero) didnt close any ground in the stretch. Ive tried to watch the replay but they dont show the gallop out on internet replays. Anyway it looked like a horse that would like added distance but I cant figure out the chart?
Am I thinking too hard or was there something there that I saw (or didnt see)

I see Canteen being sent with Afleet Alex pressing early off that 46 blowout.I cant imagine Afleet Alex being 100% at 1/18.  The horse that looks carefully managed and one of two that I like is Rush Bay . The other is Wild Desert.

You would have to work with race horses hands on to really appreciate this but here goes.Racehorse have sort of a sixth sense. Im not saying they are the smartest creatures but they are very tuned in to their surroundings. A \"Nervous\" type person can walk into a shedrow and walk up to a horse and the horse will try to kill them. The opposite effect \"horse whisperer\" type Monty Roberts can calmly communicate thru this sixth sense. Every trainer in the world will tell you that the key to a good horse performance is to keep them \"happy\". Happy involves good nutrition and Calm consistent surroundings.Sometimes goats are put in a stall or companion pony or rubber ball etc.Horses have very consistent routines and when their feed tub is taken away on race day, thats a break in routine and they know something is about to happen. Heres what is bound to happen with this detention barn deal especially with NERVOUS FILLIES. You are going to severly disrupt the routine. Horses do know their HOME STALL, why else do they go back to it when they are let out of a burning barn or when a horse gets loose on the track, they eventually go right back to their stall. So you take this Filly and place her in a stall that yesterday a strapping Stud Colt pissed all over the place. Dont tell me that these stalls will be completely mucked out and limed EVERY DAY. This Filly will sniff around and immediately her nervous system will be in overdrive.She knows she is not at home and ever horse in the shed row will have differing levels of 6th sense\"ANXIETY\" over this new surrounding and break in routine.24 hours worth of this could easily have a horse leave their race
\"in the stall\"  My guess is you will see some really unexpected bad performances, especially with fillies. Im all for cleaning up the sport but these animals are a little more sensitive than most people give credit.Maybe lets just put the trainers and vets in a detention facility 24hrs prior

What do you folks think of the \"experiment\" at keeneland with the point of call technology. I think it is long overdue and will probably yield VERY significant info.
Exact fractions, how far a horse ran, the horses acceleration or deceleration. All without the immense human error we tolerate in our day to day discipline. My only concern in the short term are the Equibase \"beta testors\" who will have the exclusive access to this info. If it is as good as I suspect and the public wont have access to it they could pull off a few scores under the radar.

The problem is when the system malfunctioned, they should have shut it down. Instead they tried to fix it on the fly. When the \"unable to verify\" and \"bet expired\" windows poped up sometimes the bet went thru and sometimes not. I have heard nothing from them as of today and here is their dilema.

- If I  bet 100 to win on birdstone, but because of their error it was logged 10 to 20 times my original wager and the money deducted from your account. Are you legally entitled to the winnings.

- If I bet 100 to win on Smarty Jones and it was logged 10 to 20 times and deducted from your account, Do you owe it???

I think there is probably hundreds of thousands of dollars at stake here and I still dont understand why the Bloodhorse and other online media is silent??? This is a huge story surrounding the Belmont with implications to all online wagering services.

Only my $120 box got logged between 10-20 times as best I can tell. pretty good ding.

I havent been able to find any press on the youbet.com system failing the hour prior to the Belmont. The system hung up on the \"confirm bet\" button  and it was impossible to tell if your bet went through. My account balance is totally off and when I have repeatedly called customer service they stated that they  are trying to come to some \"resolution\" of this massive problem. This had to affect thousands of betters and a ton of handle. Why havent I seen anything about it. What is the status of seriousplayers.net. I need a new home very soon.
