Just be aware of track conditions.
If it is deep.No fat guys in the mud.

Ask the Experts / Re: Horses Getting Faster

JB,

Another comparision of subjective data.
It would be nice to see horses run consistent fractions like Hombre Rapido
21 43 55 108.
Like JO Tobin
22 46 109 133 158.
All of these fractions do not include
the fifths of a second.
The point being.Huge efforts like Kafwain in the San Vincente,Hombre in The LATIMES and
JO Tobin vs Seattle Slew.
Horses in Peak Condition with lightning fast tracks aka Monorchos in the Derby.
You have these examples.
But what about the slow races like the Belmont in 2000 235 and change for Lukas.
The horses that year were not made to run that far that fast.

Each horse is different.
Each performance is unique.
Each should stand on there own merit.

I take the big c.
Call John Ward. The best horse is lying in wait.

His name is Sky Mesa.

I think that all you are so consume in the sheet numbers that you fail to watch the races carefully?

EM has been all out in the last 2 races.
FC is the real deal based on the last four races.
PR is the miler in the world turf or dirt including Congaree.
If you think I\'M kidding.Ask Baffert where Congaree will run in Oct.
He will tell you the Classic because he knows its the easiest division.

Bottom line.
FC gets beat in the next 2 races.
This years 3 year olds are lacking the 3 best of its generation
Vindication,Toccet,And Sky Mesa.
Sky Mesa when right will be horse of the year when all is said and done.

JB,
Your full of it
I responded to it and you took it down.

Go jump in the lake.
The Santa Anita Horses 1-2 finishers were not good enough.AThatswhatimtalkinabout is just young enough in his growth cycle that he my be better than all of them when he is done.

He needs a bit change.
Im sure Ellis will figure it out.

The scary horse for the belmont is peace rules. If Bobby lowers the stirups and Edgar get an easy lead.He is Gone.

Dubai over and out.

Ask the Experts / Rags Vs.TG
May 01, 2003, 02:53:44 PM
Hello JB,

I read your speech about the Rags numbers
on SoCal based runners.

I feel that the inference of tops on socal
runners is justified for Kafwain only.

His effort against Sum Trick was good enough to beat Congaree. How do make a figure on such a huge performance.

Some may argue that Baffert helps his horses with lots of Vitamins. This was the case for Shuman at Gulfstream.

Horse are not machines. When a lifetime best is realized early at 2 or 3.Making comparisions that they can duplicate that a every start  is unfair.
