Come on here now Silver Charm didn\'t you look at how Baily rode this horse he took back and had a strangle hold of Empire Maker
he could have won that race if but he did the same thing he did in the would this time it just cost them a WIN. Lets not kid are selves here Frankel is saving his best race for the Travers in 3 weeks

                           THANKS

Claiming races are very hard to handicap,Like Jerry said there are to many problems with many of these HORSES. The VET knows the most he makes the most money and pretty much does everything but train the horse. Stick to allowance races and Stakes the horses are some what sounder then the rest.

As a pretty big player in this business it is getting more and more difficult to make serious plays because of the poor odds on horses that will most likely win the race they are in. I know that the RAGS sells between 300-350 sets a day i S.CAL on every race day,and with that number i don\'t think it even matters what the THOROGRAPH sells. The bottom line here is that to many people have the same info. All you have to do is look at the board in most races and ignore the overlays, the chance of any overlay score have gone down the tubes. Even in the second race at Charles Town Sat. night there was a horse that was 10-1 on the morning line that went off at 9-5 because his last two sheet #\'s made him 4 lenghts faster than the field INCREDIBLE. I imagine this getting any better, since the numbers are only getting BETTER AND FASTER. MISION CONTROL WE HAVE PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking over RACE #6 @ HOLLYWOOD for THURSDAY. A couple of HORSES look interesting to me.

#3 BIT OF LUCK - His races one and two back make him plenty fast enough for a trainer who does well in this spot but has never been over a mile.

#5 Long Gone Con - Fast enough to win and gets ten lbs. But just not sure about the lay off.

#6 Woody Haze - With the rest i think he could be the play if the price stays around the morning line. Nice rest off his last # where he actually broke through i can see a new top and at leat a pair up.

                    THANKS

Well here is the deal Silver Charm, because i\'m getting ready to run you down in the Santa Anita Derby.Funny Cide did run the fastest race in the preakness, but overall Empire Maker is the more consistent and will run faster in the future because off the trainer in the way Frankel gives horses rest. The focus here should be on the new comers who will be bursting on the seen in the summer, like Best Minister and Midway Road.Good horses who i\'m sure will run there fastest races this summer.

Don\"t know how many sheet players get the sheets for BAY Meadows,if so any thoughts on the second race for Thurs.wood be cool.

FREQUENT MEETING-Has a nice line going in,any chance you can toss the turf race and he can run a new top since his last TOP was about TEN weeks ago.

NATURAL TREASURE-3-1 second choice would have to run another top of a lifetime top on short rest.

The question here is how can you rearly tell which HORSE is likely to make a forward move.
                         THANKS

Very good card that may offer some betting interests.

Race #1 Acceptable Venture, favorite to start the day.

Race #2 Don\'t like the post or the sprint after the good tufr # but at the odds will take a shot.

Race #3 Mukhtaser cuts back with good speed the only down side the post.

Race #4 A.P.Indy colt Congrats could explode here,don\'t think you will get 7-2

Race #5 Message Red gets a bad post but should bounce back.

Race #10 Honor in War may looks like he could gobble up the field in this one.

            GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Honar in War looks like the play here, very honest horse.Even though he has not busted through the 4 yet and the fact that Denon will likely react of the huge effort in a loss makes this horse more explosive to me.Any thoughts on the race.THANKS

It may be that the THOROGRAPH is the best way to tell the contenders from the pretenders, but when it comes down to telling who is going to go forward or backwards were all taking a shot in the dark.Know matter the data you have in front of you the bottom line is their is to much quessing in the end.

Ask the Experts / QUESTION FOR JERRY???
April 03, 2003, 01:59:33 PM
I can\'t ever remember a time in HISTORY where 2 and 3 year old HORSES have been running so fast.My question is when any horse gets down to a zero or#number i have a hard time understanding what the horse will do in the future.Since there are horses in this years DERBY going in with huge efforts, will reading the sheets for this years DERBY be any differant then in years past.Monarchos had a 0 in the Florida Derby, then he ran a 3 in the WOOD.So he would be the most recent horse to bounce and win the DERBY.THANK YOU....
