Ask the Experts / Re: 6 for 61

Track aside... Tip my hat to them for the try with AP, but that sheet should be in a picture frame... Wrapped up or not got back to a BIG negitive number top, no need to come back back on three weeks rest off that kind of effort ..

At first my thoughts were completely in line with yours. However looking at race with benefit of hindsight and considering all things that other posters have mentioned ( wind, surface, only two turn race of day, etc... ) I am now not sure and could see how race is possible in line with His TG figure\'s ... Will be interesting to see how TG assess the race.

That loud scream was me yelling when Ortiz left the rail with NM... Way he finished sure looked like he would have been second ( especially when you consider CB just went up his rail spot when geniusus left to go outside )

Ask the Experts / Re: Question for the board

I am not saying he would have won; but if you are on \"the best horse\" you have an inside draw and speed in a race with out much pace, you go to the lead.. he could have easily went but looked like he was trying to set up the same trip he had in Preakness and then got stuck inside. For what its worth CC did not look like a happy camper when forced into that position.. just my opinion

You could put 10 TG sheet guys in a room and get 10 different opinions at any given time. Stick to whats been good for you, sounds like you have a system. Regarding slower horses taking money....barring equipment/trainer/surface changes or young horses making second/third starts { can get big improvements those situations }; that\'s why we buy the numbers, let them beat you.

Not arguing that point you have it exactly correct on how NY handled it. I\'m just saying \"logically\" speaking I can\'t attribute the string of efforts to just the strip.

Equipment change information is horrendous across the board. Lord of Love won Saturday as a 1st Gelding, was not on the NYRA site or anywhere disclosed as a change. A horse changes the type of blinkers they use and wins; we will never know, the equipment modification is not disclosed in the data. This is all data you should be able to track and can\'t because its not disseminated in the data you get form equabase...Just saying this points to bigger issue of disclosure and the way the data is communicated to players.

was staying out of this discussion but think your emotions are letting you  lowering yourself to the level of this discussion. Yes the horse jumped with the equipment change, but to overly simplify it to this level is amusing. Think its time I started buying and claiming horses again; just going to start using strips... common

Don\'t know if your question was answered but Sherman said horse is on six race winning streak with the strips, which implies that they were added when he jumped to a 1 in December ...

Ask the Experts / NY Track conditions
May 10, 2014, 11:10:32 AM
NYRA feed says Muddy, Scroll says Sealed ... now comes my favorite guessing game...when will they decide to turn the track during the 4th or 7th race?? ... only going to make a small difference on how I will play dirt races in Pks moving forward... {that was my attempt at sarcasm } ...
