he Belmont distance adds so many unknowns for CC to win the TC

Right! FAST horse, but one of his lowest speed #\'s was going a 1 1/4

those same variables affect the competition too

this 3yo crop is nothing to right home about, but he\'s had a lot go his way and NOT his competitors way. there are some horses in race that have some talent and look the part for 1 1/2. Also, GROD won\'t let CC walk. GROD has speed.

Many things seem to indicate \"all systems go\"

yeah a nasal strip. Sherman said \"we would not go without nasal strip.\" Come on, not go w/o a strip??

The horse reportedly training well over the Belmont surface

big deal..he\'s a nice horse and fit as can be right now. looks horrible in gallops..btw. Although when looking at horses it\'s nice to see a little something off. too perfect is a bad sign. Which may be good for him.

weather looks to be good. He has handled large crowds calmly

there\'s no bigger stage than the Derby and more horses. not even worth mentioning.

His jock has had the TC experience before, is getting some rides there beforehand ...
jock won\'t cost him this race. CC has speed, victor does what he wants.

While he may not get the distance, there is also the chance he obliterates this field by many horse lengths. His tactical speed is clearly an advantage

IF He don\'t get the distance, he don\'t win....PERIOD! This is 1 1/2 at BIG sandy for TC and you just went 1 1/4 and 1 3/16..there is no fakin. This isn\'t a turf race.

Yes, I\'m going to have some backups to CC, but be prepared for an historic win by him too...
Secretariat like performance within 20 lengths of 31 doesn\'t warrant a hedge of any kind. Believe or die cause that\'s what chrome is on Saturday. He will have it close to his own way again... 1.5 or pack it.

Union rags wake up?? This horse runs his eye balls out every time. He\'s been whipped I think a total of 5 times in last 3 races. Best 3yo in country bar none..pull the times and come homes they are staggering.. Florida derby-huge excuse. KD-I ripped my tickets in 1st quarter mile.

Pedigree-bottom side is loaded. Ooh and just has Gone West on bottom..hottest broodmare sire around. GW is sending them long everywhere..brilliant speed and awesome feather to just name 2.
You can always tell who\'s a square..when they start dissin rags..so funny.
Fuck racing there\'s no saving it (racing board in NY is living proof)...rags gets redemption on Saturday!

With all do respect that is the most ridiculous report I have ever seen. 2nd dam  could run from here to Guam. The bottom side of UR has Hyperion in the fifth generation..that\'s almost unheard of 2012. Union Rags has gotten whipped 4 times..yes 4 times in last 3 races and he was nowhere near tiring in the KD.Go to a sale sometime and look around...bloodstock agents and serious buyers laugh at reports like this. I\'d like to see the report on IHO because anybody that can tell me that IHO dosen\'t get a ton of stamina from his bottom side dosen\'t know what he/her is talkin about. The two hottest broodmare sire\'s in the country right now are bar none Gone West and Arch (Arch anywhere for last 3yrs has been amazing).UR has Gone West. The funniest thing about this business is how easily people in the game can just claim to be pedigree experts. There are no experts! there are people that are extremely knowledgeable on the subject but, #\'s and stats are for losers in the pedigree game. A very wise man in this game told me not too long ago \"when it all looks perfect on paper or if they\'re too pretty in the sale ring..there\'s gonna be problems coming, I want to see a problem somewhere\".
Remember these quotes:
Lauren Stitch
\"Boundary can\'t go 1 1/4\".  (Big Brown)

I forgot who said this one..but I know I heard it.
\"Elusive Quality dosen\'t scream Classic distance\"  (Smarty Jones)

Mark Johnson
\"No Indian Charlie can go 1 1/4\". (Liaison this year)

Union Rags can run all day.

Note: I liked IHO in the KD and have a ton of respect for him.

Wait..the distance limitations on Union Rags? How did you come to that conclusion?

I think pletcher lost his best horse for the derby FOY week in ALGO. SS was faster and better. No comment on BODE.

Totally true! All because you buy horses dosen\'t make you an insider. There is plenty of guys that buy horses that think their inside and get raped by trainers and partnerships. Not saying that trainers, partnerships or bloodstock agents are all bad but if you are the tad bit green in this biz you can get rocked very easily. So with that all because you got the big dough don\'t make you the \"sharp insider\".

I have bought horses too. I have put a lot of money in this game and have spent plenty of time in the places that only some can dream of. His reports were completely out of line. As a horsemen, you don\'t discredit your own. It\'s code in this game. He went on this board and talked about \"the bad ride\" Edgar gave him on Saturday as well. Also, is he qualified enough to call for a scratch of a Kiran horse? Is union a steam horse because Covello got 10 phone calls after he worked? Last thing, if your going to tout a horse and give off the impression of being ultra sharp don\'t back off of it and say \"who knows I could be wrong and rip up all my tickets\". Do your work make your prediction and stand by it. Handicap with conviction!

So if covello gets 10 calls on union rags..that makes rags the steam of all steam? So bode just worked lights out and I got 12 phone calls on him.Is that the new steam?

So who should scratch out the oaks covello? Great call on Alpha. Worked in .59 yesterday

What\'s nonsense is covello discrediting great trainers that are deserving of running their horse in the derby. Then making accusations that are so far from the truth. Who is covello to suggest that Kiran should \"do the right thing\" and scratch alpha. The horse just worked on .59 yesterday. He is the leading voice of this board?? Are you kidding me?

I buy plenty of sheets. I have just as much right to my opinion as anyone else.

You guys are something else! Covello, great call on alpha and how he should be scratched out of the Derby. Now you know more than Kiran..amazing how a few bucks in someone\'s pocket changes their expertise level in the horse racing world. All these guys blow you up..it\'s so funny! You go put a shirt and tie on and go rip more people off on wall street. Your not a horse trainer and nowhere near on the level of the guys that get up every morning at 5:30am and take care of Thoroughbreds.
