Joe, IF my aunt had balls she\'d be my uncle..... ;-) Of all the pace horses I like FL best to stick around because of Stevens but suspect his breeding will cath up to him outside of Sun 9f. Good luck either way and don\'t take the comment personally; I just like the phrase and the opportunity presented itself.

Not that I intend to bet the horse but Mr. Z has faced EVERYONE. Obviously he\'s lost to a handful but he dances with anyone on the floor. From a who\'s beaten who perspective, this guy clearly has beaten the best and no shame losing to Dort. AP and CD. I\'d probably have to insert him in the 4 hole (and maybe 3rd) if 30/1 or higher.

Good luck

Bolo: injured in January, delayed start until March, owners overzealous and overriding the trainer. Odds are right but won\'t be on a ticket of mine and may not even make it to the race.

Materiality: Late start to career, fast Pletcher runner, owner\'s living out a dream/fantasy. Odds may be decent though. Has look of being rushed to Derby. Islamorada = Timely Writer imo.

It\'s funny. I don\'t hear anyone complaining about the fact that Jerkins is planning to put cotton in the ears of Wicked as \"he performed a little better\" the other day while at the track. Horse is so wound up he doesn\'t even like the sound of horses running in the slop, per Jerkins. So:

1) Is \"cotton-in\" a performance enhancer?

2) Is Lasix-on or blinker\'s on a performance enhancer?

3) Is \"cotton-in\" on the approved list?

3a) If not, does Jerkins need to get stew\'s approval to put cotton in?

3b) If not, why not?

3c) If so, how will we know?

Miff has done a great job outlining the performance of those that have worn the strip this week and nothing noticable. Thanks Miff.

It\'s easy to say \"race without the strip\" but why should they? Those horses wearing blinkers should then have to take them off also. We\'ve been over bits, partial cups, etc. In this age of trainers using illegal stuff to enhance their horses performance, we really shouldn\'t have a problem with the legal things. If one is unhappy over the timing of the stews over-riding a long-overdue ruling, well, take it up with them. The rule was stupid in the first place.

I won\'t be betting on Chrome but I, like most everyone, will be cheering him on down the lane if my horse isn\'t to be found. I live near Yuba City and it will be nice to see if the 99% can put one over on the 1% for a change. The blue-bloods will stew for a while but \"order\" will be restored ;-) if they send Chrome to a Kentucky shed when it\'s time.

Good luck everyone. Thanks for the forum Jerry even though I disagree with you often. And it ain\'t the strips.....

Relax dude! The guy\'s just showing everyone where they can get free past performances from BRIS and DRF. If you don\'t want to use the site/info, don\'t. pretty simple. Attacking the guy isn\'t necessary...

Maybe it was \"Victor-on\" for which there is a designation.
Maybe Victor is a better jockey than given credit and the horse likes him.
Maybe Victor\'s been carrying the buzzer.
Maybe the horse finally got fixed whatever was bothering him over the summer causing the layoff lines.

For the record, Sherman did NOT say it moved him up 5-6 lengths. He said \"it\'s not as if...\"

Whatever the reason, there appears to be the potential for it to be something other than \"strips-on\". And whatever it was/is has enhanced his performance figures. Regardless, he\'s beaten me twice and I\'m not going to the funeral in 3 weeks so he may beat me thrice.

Good luck -- Patrick

Caradoc,

Both good points and neither to which I have any further insight. They\'re bringing a chiropractor to Kentucky with them so it seems like horse has more issues than a bus full of strippers to me. I\'ve never leaned toward him so no real matter to me.

Good luck

Oneil stated it during interview. Will update w/link later.

From the Bloodhorse interview/report:

O\'Neill said it was after the April 19 work that he first thought about doing the shock wave therapy.

\"The next day he had a little tightness in his lumbar area where the saddle sits and I called Paul and he was OK with doing it,\" O\'Neill said. \"It seems to help him from a therapeutic standpoint; I have done it on him a couple times in the past and it seemed to help.

Thinking it has something to do with the Ramseys and Ward\'s horse or Maker\'s horse. Haven\'t seen sheets on either but seems one of those to me.

Screwed up the last reply. Big D also said, regarding Flying Private, \"this ain\'t my first bbq\" and \"we\'re not gonna embarrass ourselves\"....

Pretty sure the bbq part was right but the embarrass part was just a tad off...

Not countin\' on D-Wayne to be the final arbiter here.
