What was it Phineas Taylor \"PT\" Barnum said???

Or as Captain Louis Renault said in Casablanca, \"I\'m shocked, shocked to find gambling is going on here.\"

Edgorman

It\'s not gambling.  It\'s an intellectual exercise.
WTF??

Ed,

Being looked at in Congress but big money backing DFS.This was the rather creative way DFS is getting around federal laws that prohibit sports betting outside of Vegas.

Once again, this somewhat highlights the difference between the Clueless Clowns running racing and bonafide gaming execs...innovation and creativity.

So it\'s like any other business, thank god the government is their to save me.

there was an article a few weeks ago (think it was in the NYT)...90% of the $$$ is won by 1.7% of the \'fans\'...No Thanks...

jbelfior

Ha, the \"1.7% fans\" work for Draft Kings and \"Fan Duel.\"You think this is the first guy to do this or the first to get caught?

PS: Hope this never goes away. I love watching the idiots running around sports bars on Sundays screaming for Aaron Rodgers.
Great job buddy---you singled Secretariat.

Good Luck,
Joe B

My rule of thumb is that if you hear tons of commercials for it on the radio or TV, then it\'s a scam to be avoided. There are no bigger advertisers these days lately than the fantasy sports sites.

Google what the takeout is and you might find that it\'s 8 to 10%  I believe that like not at all. Big scam, no doubt with a few fat cats making obscene amounts of money off the idiots.

. . . and if you have inside info re the shape of the day\'s markets, you enjoy a significant edge.  This stuff\'s just as funny as rubes playing online poker for hefty stakes: \"Collusion? Huh? Wha?\"   Chrono-moronic types.

trackjohn

Just read that the FBI has now \"Opened an official investigation into both operations\".  In the end, inside information is inside information and historically operations like this usually crumble...BUT...the NFL owners and MLB have significant investments in both of these \'sites\' (hence the heavy advertising, sponsorship of \'sports bars\', etc...).  Will be real interesting how this shakes out...Comments??

FBI is investigating to see if these operations are considered gambling.
Personally this is a crock of you know what.
For a free country one that I served 4 years to give those freedoms, I do not need any body to protect me from my self.
If I choose to gamble that is my choice. In my opinion the largest casino in the world is the Stock Market.
Oh the glass houses we live in.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board Oct. 15 ordered daily fantasy sports sites, including DraftKings and FanDuel, to stop taking action because they can\'t operate in the state without a gambling license, the Associated Press reported.
