Just figured I would pass along that when I was out at Belmont on Sunday, the two most impressive breezes I saw were from Slumber and Coffee Clique.

I\'m not breaking any new ground with the CC comment since she\'s the favorite but based on what I saw on Sunday, she will run her race.  With the weight assignments and possible ground loss, not sure that\'s good enough but she will run her race.

Slumber is interesting b/c he\'s a price on the morning line and he\'s getting weight and his numbers going in put him right there even before the weight break.  He was moving great in his breeze and so I very much believe he will run his race which at the weights and with a good post makes him very live at a big price.

Good luck to everyone on Sat.

sorry, meant Slumber in the title

Jim,

Thank you very much for the information!

Oh boy, personally, Slumber has been on my \"married to\" list for at least 4 of his last 5 races and I thought I had gotten it out of my system, because he continues to disappoint with race track performance albeit with good figures.

I guess I will put off the \"divorce lawyer\" for at least one more race!

Best of luck with Power Alert! The turf course was so dry before this bad weather, I think there is a chance you get relatively firm on Saturday.  (no expert, just a resident of the area!)

thanks Rob

I was talking to Chad about Slumber after his breeze and he was lamenting that the horse has had some bad luck in his races and my comment was that maybe that was all going to even out on Saturday in a big way.

Saturday is the kind of day where you only need to hit one or two races to make money depending on how you play the races and that\'s the mentality I\'m approaching the day with.

I will key Slumber in e\'s and tri\'s trying to hit a big one to offset what will surely be a bunch of losses in other races given the difficult nature of the card.

NYRA did a wonderful job with this card.  I am so excited to be out there for all of these terrific races.

JC, was Slumber in blinkers? thx. bbb

Silver Charm

I bet Slumber on Derby Day. I suggest people go back and look at the trip. The horse was wide throughout and very unfocused....maybe that\'s why the blinkers are coming on. His #\'s put him there and he is in lighter than the Fav\'s. Punchers chance!!

This is from a DRF article on the Manhattan by Marcus Hersh.

\"Eleven were entered in the Manhattan, which will be contested at 1 1/4 miles over a turf course that should be good to firm. Trainer Chad Brown has three in the race but said Slumber could race instead at Monmouth Park.\"

Right----good luck Chad from the 12 hole at the Snore at the Shore.

Good Luck,

The other 2 entries Chad Brown has in the Manhattan are owned by Ramsey.

covelj70

the owner of Slumber told me last night that Slumber is running at Belmont

jbelfior

I think the owner is making the right call.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

There were a number of good reasons to lean this particular direction -- but this really helped.

Made by day Jim. Great call by the owner.

Good Luck,
Joe B.
