Lost Cause

During the paddock review Maggie said something was off with Cross Traffic..

Surprising and odd in many ways. Maragh must thought it was a 1+1/2 race?

Boscar Obarra

Yep, she saw something. That, and the horse stumbled rather badly out of the gate (correlation?), jock just wrapped up after that.

Maggie reports something not right, and the horse stumbles out of the gate.

So lets blame the jockey.

Brilliant.

No stumble for LG (Maragh), just a furious finish, too late!

So, What should we label Martn Garcia\'s trip on Paynter? That ones worth a second look. He didn\'t get stopped and 2nd is not all bad.

Why does there have to be blame?? Thats the difference between you and I, at least one of many differences.

I\'m not a loser, so I don\'t look for excuses like you. I\'m sure getting your head handed to you anytime you play a race gets old.  Surely it can\'t be your fault that you are a loser.  So lets blame someone else.

Its the jockey\'s fault, the trainer did a poor job, blah blah blah.

You lack the intelligence to grasp the fact that these animals are flesh and blood, have good days and bad.

Your moronic views of rampant drug use, another excuse of the simple minded, further cloud the empty space in your skull.

You are the classic losing player.  I see it every day in the card room.  Lousy player loses, so lets blame the dealer.  Blame the shuffle master.  Blame everyone and everything but the true culprit for your losing ways.  The little fellow in the mirror.

So the answer to your question Scrubfan is there is no blame. Stuff happens.

Like your existence.

She also thought Org looked fantastic

Let\'s see perfectly logical to you that Cross Traffic opens at 5-1 and the 3yo Palace Malice opens at 2-1. According to experts on this board, Cross Traffic was a future star. To me a lot like Verrazano. Big figures in Fla out of nowhere. Today there was scrutiny, out of competition testing and Pletcher failed miserably again. Don\'t care how many stakes he wins, not the same result when he is being watched. I.E. Breeders Cup. Just don\'t believe in coincidence!

The board told it all. Just like Verrazano at 9-1 in Derby. Educated players know what the media and racing authorities won\'t report. Entire game is not about training but about what magic the vet can do. Cibelli\'s letter was pathetic! How did she go from a 30% trainer winning titles every meet to a measly 8% who can\'t even win on her home track Mth where everybody is cheating. BTW no sour grapes! I am a winning player who has learned to bet less and less.

This string got crazy..I was just trying to say that Maggie noticed something was wrong and it was.  It reminded me of Life at ten where Johnny thought something was off in the warm up, they open the gate and nothing.  Both trained by Pletch so who knows if it\'s a coincidence or not.

As far as odds, A lot of people threw out Cross Traffic due to the distance so 5/1 made a lot of sense.  I personally did not have him even fourth on my tix and that was before Maggie\'s analysis.

As far as Jock, Maragh had nothing to do with that performance.

Someone mentioned that she also said Orb looked good.  Every horse in a big race usually looks good but when she says something negative I usually pay attention and use that.

I didn\'t quite say that, but did note going in that I feared for his intermediate-term prospects, given how hard he\'s hit the ground, during his races . . .

CHOWDERMAN

for what it\'s worth now, i was in the paddock right in front of Orb, teaching my godson about horse\'s body language, warming a horse up, his first time at the track....Orb kicked the stall 4 times hard  while being saddled, you could hear it everywhere down there....shug and company looked very concerned...once in the walk ring he did look great....by the time i got upstairs to watch the warmup he was sweating profusely.....ps... iwent with last gunfighter...

Lost Cause

Wouldn\'t surprise me about Orb.  I think he has acted up before in his FL races.  Good to know though for next time.  Thank You..
