My memory is not that good but are the only horses that win the derby 6/5 and 2-1 \"figure horses\" or do 30 and 40 -1 shots win also, and are the longshots that win are they part of the 6or 7 that have no chance.?You need to get a job.

I\'ll take every team they play against.  Stuff like this is why Little League is going down the crapper.

Cmon now. Folks that have a clue , put up their money, and are willing to talk about their horses on a public board, are not exactly crawling out of the woodwork.

If you want to harass someone, there at least  50,000 more deserving prospects within shouting distance.

Covello is one of the good guys in the game, no need to single him out because he\'s running a longshot in the Ky Derby, horses are bred to run, Covello is running, its possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Take it out on Churchill for permitting 20 horses to run, its their race and their world, they are the ones who make this call to let 20 enter the gate.

5A) Falling sky most likely in the lead when they turn for home..

Hoping for a speed favoring track and a live rail for you Cov..Is it going to be Garcia again?

We are going to go with Luis Saez.

He called right after the horses crossed the wire in the Ark Derby (literally) and said he would have won the race on the horse because he can get the horse to relax like he did when he rode him before.

Just to be clear, I don\'t really think he would have won the race, I am just relating the story.

Anyway, we want a jock with confidence in the horse and Saez has had confidence in him since those allowance wins

He breezed him for us before the Sam Davis and got off and said \"this is a derby horse\"

Again, I don\'t want to get too carried away by a jock comment who is looking for his first derby mount but I do think horses can go longer when they are allowed to relax a bit early and so that\'s the plan.

Thanks,

Jim

Well if the horse win\'s my hat\'s off to you and I will not post anymore comments.

HR,

I love to hear what you have to say about the horses so I really hope you keep posting.  It\'s the differences in opinion that keep this stuff interesting.

I just like for all of us to keep the posts about the horses and not the people.

jim, your a class act, guys like him ruin the game.

I\'m no fan of what HR said, but it\'s pretty far down on the list of what\'s ruining the game.

HR:

Educate yourself before you make such statements.

Just in the past five runnings

winners odds were 15,8,20,50 and 2.4 (all rounded except last.)

Are you prepared to say on the basis of odds none of the first 4 winners referred

to by those odds amounted to

anything thereafter in their 3 year-old campaigns? I\'ll Have Another won the

Preakness. Animal Kingdom and Mine That Bird ran 2nd. Ad infinitum on others

within that group and going further back in time.

Alysheba-8 to 1, Real Quiet-8 to 1, Genuine Risk- 13 to 1 and so on.

Refer to the list below and you\'ll see that winning at generous odds is

practically the

norm for the Ky Derby.

And that\'s why it\'s so important to confine yourself to honing your handicapping

skills this time of year.

jerry, you need the the merginal player in this game to make it last.the guy who spends 50 percent at the casino and 50 percent at the track. if everytime he comes to the track he heres negative things , he most likely wont come back at all.
