There seems to be some interest as to how severe a bounce can be expected from Forest Music.

If you can express your answer in terms of percentages, in your opinion what is the more likely scenario?

0-2 Pts.  __%
2-4 Pts.  __%
4-6 Pts.  __%
6-8 Pts.  __%
8+  Pts.  __%

0-2 Pts. 0%
2-4 Pts. 25%
4-6 Pts. 30%
6-8 Pts. 25%
8+ Pts. 20%

A bounce is legitimate possibility and since you ask, you\'ll note that included in the  special, SA sheets and SA Thoro-Quick, is a sneak preview of some new Thoro-Graph trainer statistics, a work-in-progress. (Available in Red Board Room Sunday.)

In an admittedly small sample--5 observations--all Shuman 2nd time out 2yos have run an X, that is 4 points worse than the previous top.

Although Forest Music is the fastest 2yo he\'s ever trained, the short rest, east-west ship and huge 1st out effort makes Forest Music very likely to be the 6th Shuman 2nd time out 2yo to run an X.

Thanks TGAB.  I saw the special but didn\'t have time to read it thoroughly.

I\'m not worried about a bounce as much as I\'m worried about the huge stretch out, first time 2 turns, how she will react when/if someone pressures her mid/late race etc... IMO, she could NOT bounce and still get beat by her inexperience and/or lack of preparation for this tough an assignment. On the flip side, I can\'t imagine her not having an impact of the race development because she\'s so quick.  If they make Halfbridled a huge favorite from the 14 hole (which I doubt), I would like to get involved in this race (maybe Society Seletion or Class above depending on the prices). But I might also be interested in exactas because Forest Music could beat off some of the other front runners/stalkers and cost them a chance for the place spot. All this assumes the track is playing honest. If I have even a hint of a speed favoring track. I\'m having another beer. :-)

By the way, it sure likes inside speed was an advantage yesterday on the main track (at least going short).

How impressive was Halfbridled?  Man that was a terrific performance! (cost me a few dollars for the action) :-)
