Would Sweet and Lovely qualify for an 0-2-X pattern? And if so, how do track, distance and surface changes, as well as time off effect consideration?

And what is the meaning of the hollow box symbol for Chiemon?

I hope these aren\'t stupid questions, the race is likely a pass but I selected it in the blind. Thanks

0-2-X is a definition (top, 2 point backward move, non-effort), and is neither intrinsically good or bad-- I don\'t just blindly play them. In general X\'s on grass (and with young horses) are much more significant than on dirt (and with older), but here the last came on short rest, and he now has had 2 months, so it\'s complicated (as usual). And he\'s gone south to Florida...

We leave a box when there\'s not enough info to confidently make a figure for a race. Mostly it happes with young, lightly raced horses, when the track is changing speed.
