Thanks for the \"exclusive\" offer for Breeder\'s Cup pre-sale tickets. I only received 3 such emails today, from TG, Del Mar Racing, and TwinSpires.com.

TGJB

The BC asked us to do it, we did it. Pretty sure it didn\'t do you any damage.

Not to mention that all the good seats are already sold out and it is still the presale. Not meant as a critique of TGJB, just the fact that every year all the good seats are already gone.

TGJB

This is presale, as far as it\'s been explained to me, so should not be the case, no?

You beat me to it. Not shooting the messenger (TG) here, but...

When I get a \"VIP\" offer from my local AOR station, or from AMEX, I can score some truly great seats. Pricey, yes, but the kind of seats only the ticket services used to have, and at even higher prices. (Worth every penny, IMO: once you see Eric Clapton not miss a note for 3 hours from 8 feet away, you won\'t get too excited about mezzanine or loge seats anymore.)

BC \"VIP\" tickets are a joke. More like \"Sucker Tourist\" seats. After the hundreds and hundreds of fluff staff from BC and NTRA get their seats, the real fan is left with sloppy seconds -- at ridiculously high prices.

At Churchill, get there early and buy Gen Adm, then grab a spot on a bench; take the extra hundred you didn\'t blow on BS seats and buy a nice overpriced BC hat. Or something.

Lost Cause

Number is right.  Most of the seats were taken as of yesterday..

Rick B.

Happened last year too, Jerry. It\'s all on the BC. You were just being a good guy.

TGJB

Can\'t really say no, we do some joint ventures with them.

I\'m pretty sure that those better seats we don\'t have access to are reserved not for BC staff, but for those who have entered horses in the BC races plus those owners/breeders who paid to nominate foals/stallions to the BC program.

Lost Cause

Thats alot of seats for owners and friends..Multiple levels of seating were sold out.  There has to be a pre-pre sale somewhere..

phil23

Yes well, all those \"staff\" and \"owners/breeders\" might want to realize that without us, THE FANS and BETTORS, their little dying sport will die even quicker.

sixmoreouts

Very true.  Though I think some might argue that, without its nominators, BC would die tomorrow.

I\'ve never had a problem getting good seats at West Coast venues.  Ridiculous that fans can\'t get good seats on a pre sale.

I believe many of the good seats you guys are referring to are being held and/or have been bought up by the Turf Club members at Churchill Downs. A friend of mine that is in the Club called me on the Monday after the Derby and asked me if I was interested in a seat in his box on the 3rd level at the 1/8th pole. The Turf Club already was offering the tickets and the time to buy was very limited. My wife was a little suspicious as to why I was plunking down money for an event in November just 2 days after getting my brains beat out at the Derby! I will add that the big events at Churchill are a \"must\" ticket right now - Oaks, Derby, night racing, BC...are all in high demand. I agree that it\'s not fair that the average fan can\'t get anywhere near the best seats, even in an advanced sale. Thanks to all who have posted on here through the TC. I\'m 0 for 2 but still looking for a Lemon Drop Kid to get my money back!!

Agree, no damage. No offense meant Jerry I\'m just a quiet and I like to think a loyal customer. I just logged on and found 3 emails with the same offer and then tried to get seats as I have a friend who recently moved from here in So Cal to within driving distance of CD. I tried to buy seats and couldn\'t get what I wanted.
