Either Calder has the most pathetic jockey coloney in the country, or the 2nd race Thursday afternoon was the biggest, most obvious scam of a horse race I\'ve seen in the past decade.

If you haven\'t seen it, download the Redboard sheets and watch the replay.   They are going 26.1, 52.4 and every bleeping jock (except the 56-1 shot) has a hold on their horse on the backstretch.   And looking at the Sheets, the horse should have been about 300-1.  The favorite, Cashmere Kitten, you have to go back 17 races to find a race where the 3 could even be remotely competitive against her.  Same story with every other horse in the field.

IMO, Crap like this in plain sight does more damage to the trust of the public than doping does.   I\'ll won\'t wager a nickle for the rest of my life at Calder until an investigation is done into this race.

That was wild, i just watched the race.

The only problem is that the winning Tri only had 4 or 5 dollars on the entire combination and the winning super only had approx 15 dimes on IT.

I guess you can make the case the exa is light, but if someone (anyone) knew about this there\'s no way these prices would have been that high.

Funny that the announcer said, \"she can wait no longer\" as if she was a 6-5 shot. Normally the \'wait no longer\' call is reserved for favored horses who the announcer has an eye on, not \'no hopers\' like this one.

My heart goes out to you, but none of the real pros in the Calder jockey colony were in that race...they know how to make a race look legitimate.  This was an up and coming group, lacking dramatic coaching.  But the real question is, what were you thinking in betting there in the first place?

plasticman.. Look at the Daily Double and Pick 3 payouts after another bomber came into the 3rd race.

alm,

I didn\'t bet this race.  I watched it live on TVG/HRTV and couldn\'t believe what I saw.  Waited until the Redboard Room put yesterdays races up to comment on it.   I just had to see the figs for these horses.
