Just wanted to comment on a great play I personally see here.  I kno JB wont be too happy with this post but ive been on my best behavior and hopefully this will be a bone as I am doing this for my opinion to everyone to contribute to something as i see of value to the board.  


Big Red Mike -   other than a 1 pt backwards move first off a long layoff this guy has a tremendous line.  a pair first 2 times out which is a great healthy sign.  one race needed out (12) and then gets stretch out to a new level.  That new level of 8 was reached with just 3 weeks off and then 5 weeks was given for another new top.  This one is a forging horse and has another 3 weeks off to where he hasnt ever showed to go back within the 3 weeks range so I feel a new top should be expected again or at worst a pair which would put him right there in a winning position.  Many are slow here and i also see others who have either run huge last out, bounced last out or havent shown any/or little development (none of those are good signs).  

BRM fits perfect with this group and 6-1 ML is great overlay odds imo. Nothing shows that this one cant run off short rest.. hes done it twice and has not moved back! good luck and il be gone for a while again!

Place has quiet lately, and (IMO) there\'s some correlation between the number of pots and the fact that you weren\'t posting.

In any case, nice selection by NYC in the QP; hope he liked this one enough to
use him in the top slot.

I think you, not in any case, but in this case, mischaracterize NYC\'s posts as somehow selfish when he has as much genuine enthusiasm for the sport as a fellow fan could hope for.

He made one post and touted one horse and it won. And, sadly, he had to apologize for doing it.

Leamas and Yankndixie:

As NYC seems to be supporting himself through wagering, he has every right to be
enthusiastic. He has every right to celebrate each victory with the same gusto
with which I celebrate each paycheck.

Is NYC any more enthusiastic than NC Tony was? Any more enthusiastic than Jimbo
or MJellish or Michael D or Silver Charm or Covel or RicK B? Hard to imagine. But
I admire these seven guys not only for their thorough approach, but also for the
fact that they are modest in victory and philosophically humorous after a tough
beat.

The \"fellow fan\" characterization is slightly inaccurate. Pari- mutuel wagering
turns \"fellow fans\" into competitors, and, as such, decorum and sportsmanship
are rather important. The whole notion of being a good winner and a good loser
and all that. I am speaking generally now, not specifically about NYC, and I have
no idea why he apologized and if or why he has been censured by the powers that
be.

Thats one of the reasons I love Living Room Downs. After a score, large or small,
I can pump my fists, do the moonwalk, run out to my terrace and scream YES!! at
the top of my lungs, and the only ones present to roll their eyes and think to
themselves \"What an asshole\" are my wife and our cats.

Message to NYC: I was at Belmont Friday, and they have moved the iconic
Secretariat sculpture to the back of the paddock. Making room for the Ghostzapper
statue?

agree with you-this would be an excellent ROTW. very challenging and competitive race. at least 5 or 6 that can win this, imo. taking a real flyer with trombetta\'s \"other\" horse NFS. like his finishing kick. he is also following the same exact pattern as last year when he won the Carryback. surprised there is no talk at all about the calder card. good luck.
