Chuckles_the_Clown2: You\'re not going to catch Richie Rich Cream in many historical inaccuracies. Good Catch. It\'s been awhile hasn\'t it? There\'s been a couple good ones that should have done it. I think Alex and Smarty were top flight.

cubfan0316: best rider? too funny like when people said santos could only ride on grass. yes cause he rode for crissy clement. this johnny v. is about as bad as the rest. give him the drugged up pletcher horses and watch him go.

BB: CtMC;

Which is why the \"Bee\" gets a pre-authorized excuse, him being too classy to take one himself.

Long time indeed. The TC was never easy. Probably tough as ever now, the way some nice horses come into the Belmont on five weeks rest.

Someday.

would give you the benefit of htis thought last year...but I\'m off the Pletcher/Drug bandwagon, cubfan - just seems like a convenient way to dodge the big $$ horses his clients buy.  Watching him cruise around last weekend - not on TP\'s stock - was awesome.  We didn\'t get the Santos rumor here in the heartland.

Go CARDS!

marcus: w/ o question imo , a splendid expression of discretion and valorous endeavour not to bring up \'78 - it\'s like he took one for the team ...

I don\'t think you are watching the same rider I am.  Johnny V. is very talented and one of the smartest all around race riders in the game.  He has lost something ever since his Shoulder injury in 2006 but is still a very high performer...The only jockey on Par with him as a race rider is Prado and Patrick Valenzuela ( unfortunately drugs have ruined his career).  I love Garrett but I don\'t think he is as good all around, I think he is a jockey that is excellent with stalkers and closers but not as good with speed.  The other three are good anywhere..

PS...Jose Santos was good but turned really bad ...You can see how hard he would strangle horses in every race and make them quit on him by the time they hit the far turn...I never liked playing him becuase you never knew what he would do to lose the race.

miff: If you follow the careers of most good jocks you will find one thing common to most of them,the more often they fell or got hurt, the less they performed in their future.

I recall the young fearless Julie Krone riding with reckless abandon(had a pair as big as any guy imo) until she got hurt a couple of times. After that she would not come inside or dive to a hole out of fear. Same with Mike Smith and Santos, can\'t blame them though.I think Cordero was the most fearless rider for most of his career.

FYI,Johnnny V is said to be feeling close to normal for the first time since he fell in 2006 and came back way too soon.

Lost Cause: Totally agree that he came back too soon, probably forced himself so he could ride Bluegrass Cat.  But when on his game I don\'t think there is a better jockey...also agree that Cordero was one of the most fearless riders I have seen and considering he is the one guiding Johnny V. I would think some of that rubbed off on JV...
