I notice that Privman\'s article in the DRF says Gomez has the mount on AGS.  Does Johnny V. getting off give you pause?

Chuckles_the_Clown2: If thats true Velasquez must be on the eight week layoff Circular Quay or KING OF THE ROXY!!!!

I hope its the latter so Barry can get a Derby.

I think theres great opportunity to get a big odds horse into the Derby money. Lots of disagreement and perhaps confusion with the figure makers regarding recent efforts.

I\'ve heard it all now. \"Keeneland was very FAST saturday, but the jockeys all throttled their horses.\"  They may have throttled them a little in the race AFTER the Bluegrass, but whats said about the Bluegrass pace is surreal.

spa: Hard Spun is my winner. Gomez isn\'t that bad.

Kasept: No King of the Roxy in the Derby..

PLETCHER ASSIGNMENTS:

Garrett Gomez: Any Given Saturday.

Edgar Prado: Scat Daddy

John Velazquez: Circular Quay

Fernando Jara: Cowtown Cat

Ramon Dominguez: Sam P.

I guess Chris DeCarlo only gets to ride Pletcher \'B\' horses in minor stakes..

Spa,

How many jocks are better?

Lost Cause: Did You just say Gomez isn\'t that bad...Are you out of your mind??
He is one of the five best jocks in the country, some would argue the top jock...
Gomez isn\'t that bad??...yeah and Secretariat was an okay racehorse..

miff: With the exception of Gomez going to AGS, all Pletchers horses will have the same jock as their previous start.Interesting that Johnny V will take a horse with 8 weeks off instead of any of the others. Kinda upgrades CQ and downgrades the rest, imo.

JR/Cordero don\'t always get it right.

Also,JR himself would probably tell you he gave out a couple of poor rides on AGS in his last two.Change in this case might not be a bad thing, and it doesn\'t hurt to pick up Gomez.

miff: Big,

You are of course referring to his wide trips, one unavoidable(wood),the other(tampa) where they did not like the rail. Anyway,in the sense that Angel sits on or sees these horses just about every day, I think he has an edge in choosing. Of course they can be wrong for a host of reasons. It certainly would not be the first time that a jock and agent made the wrong choice.

I think Gomez/Johnny V/Prado are 1,2,3. The order depending on anyone\'s personal choice.

Chuckles_the_Clown2: When Secretariat moved up against olders he was a mere mortal.

If Pletcher runs 1-2-3 with the three horses Miff called I\'ll probably move on to greyhounds.
