PS #2: TGJB.... any special designation coming for \"golden paved rail.\"

yes i asked jerry this question as well on sunday night, hope he gets back in the office today to see it.

Cordero, Pletcher,Mc Laughin,Johnny V,all felt that the inside was \"tighter\" than the outer paths. One report stated that the rail was scraped BC morning and the extra dirt was spread over the other paths(see asufuh post)

Looking at all the dirt races on the day, it seems the rail was better or maybe those ground savers were just best on the day and it\'s a coincidence.

Interesting, because I emailed the Breeders Cup authority and of course they said it was merely coincendental but then I told then to compare the races from Friday and Sunday and see all the outside posts that won.  I was wondering what number or figure Jerry would give on the horses for the rail.

From the connections of Thor\'s Echo......

\"At first we were really down about drawing the rail, but after watching the earlier races we could tell there was a bias towards the inside and we really started to get excited because it was obvious the rail was the place to be,\" said O\'Neill, who won the 2005 Juvenile with Stevie Wonderboy. \"We even started joking before the race about how we could probably sell our post for good money. And even though the post helped, Corey did a fantastic job maneuvering him out like he did.\"

Nakatani said he wanted to stay on the rail as long as he could, but once leaving the backstretch had no choice but to angle out and go after the leaders.

Its hard for me to comprehend how anyone watching all of races sober doesn\'t feel there was a stong rail bias.  Bias doesn\'t mean 100% you can\'t leave the rail, just easier running there than on the outside.  Round Pond and Street Sense are just that much better?  Thor\'s Echo really turned the tables on Bordonaro too!  Watch these rail enhanced horses going forward, I\'ll try to point them out ahead of time so everyone can play along...

Spook, first off the top two fillies in the Distaff came unglued. You can\'t point to Round Pound and say PROOF. The Distaff was slow.

Thors Echo was just within a length of Bordanaro....do you really think Bordanaro ran his Ancient Title? ....you think the path is what stopped him? Seriously? What about Sprint runners with inferior back numbers that finished in front of him with similar paths?

Street Sense is better than those nags...lol

The rail was not golden, despite what Doug O\'Neil said. The results of the rail runners dont make the rail golden unless they didnt figure. These winners did figure. Thors Echo came to the sprint sittin on a top race. He should have been no more than 5 or 6 to 1.
