A couple of days ago the Times ran a story about a device that could be placed in an electronic voting machine to change the voting records. AND... it can cover it\'s tracks, so there would be no electronic evidence it had been used.

Anybody think of any other uses for something like that? If those stumblebums that changed the BC pick six ticket had one of these things...

Does the NYSE and CME have any software that is used as counter measures for this new threat ?

the BC p-6 fix guys did smaller test runs before stepping up into the BC pool - if they had this technology , it would have been like the bad ceaser winning over maximus ...

The high profile BC Day was the subject of more scrutiny from security people and probably was the main reason they got nabbed .

What do you mean \"if\".  The Times was probably referring to the new book out by one of the computer professors at the same university with the Pick6 scandal boys!

It\'s about how to sabotage a voting machine in under 10 minutes with no electronic trail.  Since over 1/2 of the states with machines do not have paper back-up, it should be very interesting come November.

I was told that the stewards at Monmouth told Peter Walder not to come back next year. He will not be getting stalls.

Silver Charm

Walder had one of those devices.

However he was not using it to bug his horses but instead to key the car door and deflate the tires of Mike Gill and Mark Shuman.

Similar to what he was doing at Gulfstream a few years back.

I have to look into that.  I wonder if his entourage will leave him for Kelly Breen or if they will follow him out the gates in disgust.

Interesting...
