I would request that anyone with expertise in thorograph analysis provide me with assistance in assessing the chances of Lion Cat in today\'s 6th race at Saratoga.

I believe that Lion Cat may be major player in this maiden event. My belief is founded upon a number of factors: (1) Lion Cat has been stabled at Saratoga for some time and has put in a series of steady turf works; (2) his last race was a major improvement (1st time lasix) when he ran a hard luck 3rd at the shore; and (3) he worked in 58.54 on the Oklahoma training track on July 25th. Aside from its raw time, the work was impressive because he worked on approximately even terms with his highly regarded stablemate Salford City (58.45). Trainer Biancone obviously thinks Lion Cat has enough talent to stay with Salford City and give him some competitive pressure. This leads me to think that Lion Cat could be competitive (at a good price) in a maiden race.

Does anyone\'s thorograph analysis give Lion Cat a chance?

Wrongly

Brigadier Brooks for Bailey and Mott is going to be a strong chalk.  Cosmonaunt, My Ballet, and Tiverton are all faster than Lion Cat and the first time starter Seven Tunes is also well bred for Clement.  Good luck with that Lion Cat pick.

...and dont forget that Bill Mott has had tremendous success on his birthday in the past. Happy Birthday, Bill.
