Would anyone care to offer their best Ricky Ricardo explanation of how
Wayne Potts was able to run a horse at the Spa yesterday when Charles Town won’t take his entries?

Oh and by the way.... Our Destiny ran significantly faster yesterday than he ever had before. As Oscar Barrera once said when asked about one of his miracles.
“ I put da blinkers on him”

From Dave Grening on twitter yesterday:

Talked to NY stewards about Wayne Potts being able to run in SPA opener. Since there is no ruling against Potts from a state commission, just an in-house decision by Maryland Jockey Club to bar him, he was permitted to run. The stewards said last year, when Marcus Vitali had his license suspended by Delaware Gaming Commission, horses he had entered at Saratoga were scratched.

That article is something else. Gotta like Sinatra, no BS there.

JB,

Not so quick to sing Sinatra’s praises. He was at the helm at Laurel a couple years ago when Vitali had 30 plus violations in Florida. Instead of facing his FL violations Vitali simply surrendered his Florida license. He not only was allowed to enter at Laurel, a Stronach track. I believe he was leading trainer there that year or at worst a top 3?

Just like with Potts @ NYRA, it’s about filling the entries for the handle.

Nero is in good company, he now has Charlie Daniels fiddling with him as Rome and racing burn baby burn......

On the drug front, there\'s more than fiddling going on, though how effective it will be is not clear.

\"It\" being the operative word you wrote.

Obviously, you do not want to say much more than that for now.  But curious, is \"it\" only applicable to graded stakes right now?
