I nominate CLOUD COMPUTING’s Preakness...

Three years ago today (my Facebook page reminds me), CLOUD COMPUTING won the Preakness at 14-1 in a most memorable score. I remember studying the race for an hour and shaking my head at the complete clarity of what was going to happen. Yet in the face of all this, racing experts overlooked him (certainly on the win end) by touting the favorites from Pletcher and Casse. You question yourself: \"Am I overlooking something here?\" Then, I saw Jerry Brown’s analysis, touting only one horse: CLOUD COMPUTING. And it was confirmation. [Interesting that the horse won while actually regressing a tick.]

Therefore, I hereby nominate CLOUD COMPUTING’s Preakness to the ThoroGraph Hall of Fame.

Is Volponi\'s BC Classic in the TG HOF?  I believe he was 43-1.  That would be my top nomination.

The guys I sat with at the simulcast center that day thought I was a God. I didn\'t have to buy a drink for a month. Medaglia d\'Oro completed a nice exacta too.

Texas Red was another at 14-1 2014 BC Juvenile. Horse aired by 6??

That was given out to me the night before the race.  I met up with some folks affiliated with this site at a Pasadena Italian Restaurant.   One said.....\"I thought you would look angrier\". You get one guess who that gentleman was. I even got a courtesy text before the race from Roger who basically ordered me to bet that horse.

That was a memorable race for sure.

A Chicago fellow who went by the handle \"bdhsheets\". I would link to it but there seems to be a gap in the archives from 2002 into early 2003. The TG analysis, as I recall, was positive on Volponi and had him as a \"use\", but BDH put him on top.

He was a wonderful poster. His \"signature\" was \"May they all come home safely\". His posts ended in 2006. If there\'s a happy horseplayer grandstand in the sky, he deserved to get home safely.

Well, seems the 2020 Belmont Stakes will \"smash\" Secretariats stakes record time for the race.  Who would have ever thought that was possible?  Do they still use asterisk anymore on stats or records?

Google jockey Willie Simms who rode both winners.

Think he went off off 23-1.

Was holding court with some veteran punters in the clubhouse at Pocono Downs.

Still receiving accolades to this day for that pick.  

Definitely SC and the Volponi  BC.

And I am assuming Lemon Drop Kid is already in the TG HOF.

A rare post from me.

I was in the box at DMR sitting next to JB for Student Council\'s win in the Pacific Classic.  After the race was over, a trip to the emergency room was a possibility.  Vladimir Cerin was in the winner\'s circle waving for Jerry to come down.  He didn\'t move.

There were still 2 races to go in the P6, so he recovered.

Weeelllll...

Student Council wasn’t just a bet, that was his first start for our client after purchase, and it was a GI. And horses we ran in that race for the same client had been beaten by effin Lava Man the previous two years.

The time I actually was worried about a heart attack was at Monmouth years ago, when two horses claimed by us for 20k or less won stakes on the same card, one a GI (Iselin, back then). It was about 95 degrees, and I had some concerns.
