First Everfast in the Preakness and now Sir Winston.  Kudos to Rosario for great rides.  Now I know what people mean by \"being Rosarioed\"

If memory serves there were past post complaining about Joel\'s too wide bad rides in here.  So is it fair to conclude he has the widest standard deviation among fellow jocks and that it\'s a coin toss what you\'ll get on any given day?

Too Funny,

I had this very conversation about 2 hours ago with a board contributor who sat with his agent RA the past 2 days.....

HOF rides one day, Finger Lakes BUM 2 races later.....
Rosario is definitely like a box of chocolates, ya’all never know what you gonna get!!!

What was the worst ride of yesterday?
Mike Smith on McKenzie (with some legitimate trouble)
OR
Jose’s self induced 3W,5W trip on Tacitus with the Johnny V. Mentality of I’m on the best horse, I can’t lose....

He gets criticized for going wide, he gets criticized for saving ground then encountering trouble.

Hey FRANK,

What about Castellano’s ride on Honest Mischief? I think Smiths problems occurred at the start where he broke slow, got helped with inside ride until he rode up on ass of 4&6.

Hope you hit em.

McKinzie had the worst trip but I don’t think Smith had too many good options during the race. He was hemmed in all along the backstretch. Kept in a box around the turn. He knew he was in trouble but just never found daylight until it was too late. Not a bad ride IMO. Just unfortunate circumstances.

I had a good friend in the 90\'s in Chicago - retired policeman, sold the form at Arlington as you entered the gate, great guy - who always told me when it comes to jockeys...\"that\'s why they make small hats\"

The rail giveth, and the rail taketh away:

From a thread about the 2016 Belmont and Rosario\'s trip aboard Governor Malibu:

Sometimes the rail doesn\'t giveth, or does anyone care to remember Rosario\'s flawless \'17 Derby trip, from the 19 hole no less, on TG favorite Practical Joke?

JR

The rail is like marriage. Once you’re committed you better hope it works out.
