Mr. Freeze

The last two years the winners of the Penn Derby and Cotillion have run very well in the Classic and Distaff.

Penn Derby Winners:
2013 - Will Take Charge - 2nd by a dirty nose in the Classic
2014 - Bayern - Winner of the Classic

Cotillion winners:
2012 - Close Hatches - game 2nd to Beholder in the Distaff
2013 - Untapable - Winner of the Distaff

The spacing is ideal and these races seem to be a good prep for the BC. I haven\'t seen the numbers yet but does anyone think that Frosted or I\'m A Chatterbox will have a chance to three-peat the Parx to BC success?

Mr. Freeze

Typo on the years for the Cotillion (should be 2013 - Close Hatches, 2014 - Untapable) but you get the idea.

As far as the Classic is concerned, IMO part of it has to do with the distance of the prep as well as the spacing.
Never was much on using horses out of the JCGC unless the BC was at Churchill.

That being said, take a look at Frosted\'s sheet. He\'s working great and will be saving precious ground early. I think he\'s a major player in a race where the track profile and likely pace scenario will favor front speed and middle movers. Thing is the fastest horses in there are closers.

Good Luck,

Curious why you think he will be saving ground.

Jerry:
I would hope so breaking from the 3 hole. I envision a similar trip to what he received at Parx breaking from the same post.

I know--I have some doubts that barn can repeat or improve on his Pa Derby number at the BC.

Good Luck,
