Under the Radar

With all the deserved hype surrounding Pletcher and Mott\'s unbelievably hot start to the Spa meet, not to mention the usual strong meets from Chad, Kiaran, Dutrow etc, the guy who is having the best meet for my money is Barclay Tagg. The habitual 10% trainer who came into the meet with just seven winners on the year, has doubled the total in a few short weeks, notching another winner yesterday to bring the win percentage to 37% for the meet.

Any change of vet here? Any explanation for the drastic difference? I know he has won with a lot of babies, so it could just be a good crop for him, but his stuff is blowing fields out of the water.....not to mention ALL of them have taken serious money at the windows. Interesting.

Not sure I would say under the radar.  Bet from 7-1 late to 5-1.

More interesting tonight is if Gulfstream or Saratoga gets more $$ wagered in pick 6 tomorrow.  What says the board?

shanahan

no one handicaps on the board anymore.  But if you bet the late pik 3 at SAR, nice.  The $56 winner was top of the charts, eh Alan?

Del Mar will also carry into a mandatory payout.

Will pass on any and all pari- mutuel opportunities tomorrow to sweat out
Mets/Nats as the boys from Flushing try to avoid pissing away what was once a 6
game lead.

Shanahan,

Sean will post in the seminar which was hosted by Uncle Bill utilizing Alan\'s
Analysis.
A local weatherman had said something about 0 for the meet.
Well, Alan\'s forecast Sunday afternoon around 5:11 was precise and on the mark. My note said bet #11 @ 15 to 1 and box with 7 8 and 12. Pre-race the \'Back Yard\' agreed there would be a whole lot of yelling if Maggie was leading at the 1/8 pole. We were wrong. We were screaming shortly after the gates opened. Post the 11th race, Topcat declared Manuel F.the unanimous \'Backyard\' Eclipse award winner.

From all the \'Backyard\' t-generates, thank you Alan !!. especially Sean\'s daughter who was a \'stunned\' beneficiary of your analysis.

As big of a series Mets have ever had.  Reminiscent of a couple of showdowns with the Cubs in 1969.
Jeapardy answer...
This Chicago Cub broke up Tom Seaver\'s perfect game in July, 1969???

Correct, Riciebee.

Left hand batter, played sparingly.

Went 1 for 11 at Sar Sunday but the one was a good one. Glad some of you cashed.

The ever-watchful Roy Lerman Marching and Chowder Society was present and watchful . . . but we were pleased with the reinforcement provided.  Onward.
