Sends a great message to the gamblers. \"We got your back in 11 races, the other 2,000 plus races, you\'re on your own\"

.....NYRA fking beyond pathetic.

I think its the back of big money owners and breeders they\'re worried about.

miff

Not even that. It\'s supposed to be some attempt at trying to show NYRA is being vigilant.Tons of money pouring in from slots, much being wasted on inflating purses for cheap garbage quality winter NY bred racing in lieu of using more $$$ for security/testing.

Who is managing NYRA...the cast of the movie \"Idiocracy\"?  (JB will understand the comment)!

Wasn\'t it you (a couple of years ago) who mentioned this movie?  In any event Idiocracy is a comedy....plot is based 400 years in the future describing how the IQ of the average U.S. citizen has degenerated to 65 and most all of the population are total morons...

anyone get a number that makes firing line a contender for derby

TGJB

Wasn\'t me. But I think texting alone has dropped the national IQ a couple of points.

Number wise FL a contender with all services.

I could see people wondering if he can get the distance and wondering if his pattern coming into the race is optimal.....but it is hard for me to imagine anybody thinking that Firing Line does not have the number power.  Coming into the Sunland race, he had yet to reach a reaction point with a most recent top of a \"1\"....it is hard to imagine that a 14+ length win was somehow a bounce.  While I can see reasons to fault Firing Line, I just do not see number power as being one of them.  I have to think a duplication of his top will make him at least competitive.

If the Sunland Derby fig for Firing Line is a bounce, then he must be given a \"?\" designation with that fig which calls into question whether it is really a bounce for the purposes of determining a reaction point for him.

So Cal,

Firing Line cut a fast contested pace, so his final time/figure were adversely affected. Don\'t know how JB will do the race but it was hardly a bounce when looking at the whole race and considering FL roughed it up for the first 6f. Glib surface produced two races right on track record time.

FL already ran farther, 9f, than most derby contenders so far,has been hooked, Dortmund twice.He\'s definitely ok and will run back again off 6 weeks spacing. Was a toss for me but now open.
