That might have been the toughest loss I\'ve had with those guys. Brutal.

The Breeders\' Cup can\'t get here soon enough.

JB, I know its a bit off topic but I know you can understand my pain.  Only a baseball guy would understand.

If someone were to criticize Mike Smith right now, I wouldn\'t respond.

Hey P-Dub at least we can watch Raidahz and Jets battle it out for first draft
choice next year!

I\'d like to feel that sort of pain someday,
from having come so close...only, I am a
Chicago Cubs fan and therefore completely
insulated from such things as Hope and
Winning, and the disappointment of just
missing.

Your A\'s will snap right back next year, Paul.

Game went the way the season went. Powerful and fast start out of the gate -- hung at the wire.

TGJB

Yeah. But they\'ve been playing that game a long time and that was probably one of the ten best ever. Wow.

Still trying to figure out how the catcher hurt his RIGHT thumb on that play. Which was pretty much the game.

I am pretty sure it was his left thumb.

P-Dub

JB,
It was his left thumb.

But Melvin blew that game.

- Should have pulled Lester earlier in the 8th. However, that\'s not as bad as Gregerson\'s performance. He has struggled lately and I had no confidence in that guy last night.

- How on earth do you leave Adam Dunn on the bench for 12 innings?? Use him for Lowrie with the bases loaded Top 9, then use Punto as a replacement. Lowrie was AWFUL last night with the glove.

But he gets away with those, if it wasn\'t for the worst managing of a half inning I\'ve ever seen.

- 12th inning. We get the lead. Otero comes back out and gets the first out. Hosmer up, and you leave him in???  Really??  You leave in your righty to pitch to a power hitting Lefty?? This is where I went berserk last night. You bring in Abad RIGHT THERE.  That is your lefty guy, who by the way can get righties out too. So Otero misses location, Hosmer hammers it off the wall.......and he leaves Otero in to tie the game. Now he brings in Abad, who promptly gets an out on 1 pitch. One. And he pulls him. For Jason Hammels. A starter.  Nevermind a LH pitcher holds runners on better, not to mention he\'s just a better pitcher. Norris drops a pitch out, Perez pulls one a foot outside, ballgame.

If he brings in Abad to pitch to Hosmer, chances are very good they win that game. There were so many things that happened in that game, just crazy.

KC played great and deserved to win. That game was a true classic. Last night I was numb, this morning I\'m fine. Life goes on, the older you get the more you realize that.

When does the BC product come out?? Already turned the page.

PS: Listening to Chris Russo right now, He\'s an idiot.

PPS:  Thanks for mentioning that Richie!!  Quite a week for an Oakland fan.

\"Quite a week for an Oakland fan.\"

At least with Jeter retired you should get reminded of Jeremy Giambi not sliding on a much less frequent basis from now on.
