finally back from long stretch in Louisville.
War Dancer had a fairly bad trip, boxed in with
horses on a very slow pace. He WILL be a stakes winner
in the near future.
Pure Fun got a perfect set up but was injured
during the race and didnt fire down the lane as
we expected. Dr. Bramalage will see her tomorrow
and we will find out if it is career ending. Keep
our fingers crossed.
All the agonies of friday were mostly wiped out
by Bellarmines win on derby day. Being in the winners circle
with my son was the thrill of a lifetime. Hope
that a lot of people on the forum had him in some
way or another. Back at the barn he was full of
energy and seemed like he hadnt even raced. Kenny
wants to take him to Baltimore for an under card
stake or maybe even the Preakness.
Keep an eye out for Good Catholic Girl at
Churchill soon, the exercise riders think a lot
of her should pop 1st or 2nd out.

Good Catholic Girls usually do pop first or second out, mr moose, so good luck with her and Pure Fun and all the rest. Very nice of you to share and I\'m sure it was appreciated all around. - Bob

...would be great if Good Catholic Girl\'s silks replicated the plaid skirts NY Catholic schoolgirls wore back in the day...

I had him,I hated the favorite, nice to hear it\'s your horse.

mistermoose

got a nice chuckle out of that one Bob, I am married to a
 GCG.

mistermoose,
Thank you for the informative update. Congrats on Bellarmine.  Best wishes for Pure Fun, I hope it\'s something minor as I\'m sure everyone here does.

Silver Charm

War Dancer ran fine. He.needed at least a repeat of that 7 and probably was going to need a 5 to be sure.of a win and that was asking a lot coming back in 3 weeks. But make no mistake I still piled in on him pretty good. He has come a long ways since being 35-1 first out at GP in mid Jan. If he had like 6 weeks until that Jefferson Cup on Foster Day(?) he might be a beast.

Live Lively was put down 3 days ago. If Pure Fun is retired she is a Grade 1 winner and you are in good shape.

The best part of Bellarmine was the Jockey   story as I was told. Leparoux had another call and Rosario   asked for 20 minutes to get out of his.
20 minutes came and went and a phone call never
came back. Meanwhile Victor Lebron is just
standing there. Somebody asked the question \"who the f are we gonna get\".....Victor rode the living crap out of this horse down the stretch and gave a serious fist pump after the wire.

Enjoy the ride Moose. You are having fun. Covello is living the dream and guys like me sit.back and are.rooting.for you!!

Me too. And seeing how mrs moose married well, I\'d guess she is clever enough to recognize it as the compliment I intended.

Take him to Baltimore. If your guy says he is still good, by all means take him.

I didn\'t bet that race because I didn\'t really study the numbers, but I did see the the post parade etc. I study numbers very carefully yet I am always uncomfortable betting a race blind. I want to see the paddock, post parade, and pre-race gallop out. It only take one fleeting glimpse to see the ready horse. You might see it, you might not. But if you do, you know it when you see it. TO ME, I saw it with your horse in a head-on shot as they were heading to the gate in a line. Nothing exciting, but I knew it when I saw it and it was the 4. A mere glimpse, but he caught my eye with the right impression. Did I bet the 4? No. Why? I hadn\'t really studied the numbers for that race, and there was alot going on in the background around me AND I was fighting my own impulsiveness to overbet!  Oh well, it\'s not the first bet I\'ve missed.

Maybe the slop helped him, but I doubt it made a big difference for him. He was ready. If your guy says he\'s good, he probably is.

Who am I? I am not close to being a heavy hitter, but I watch as many races as I can make time for. I prefer the top tracks during the top circuits. And I know horses.

I\'ll be sitting front row on the clubhouse turn on Preakness Day. I\'ll be looking for you.

Wrongly

Bellarmine was great to me at Keeneland so I had to use him again on Saturday.  Thanks so much!
