Tbay Derby & San Felipe Figs

Have a couple of questions about both races\' figs, specifically the difference between the figs of the top 2 in each race.

TBAY
The TG figs show a difference of 0.25 pts for the top 2.
JWar carried 4 lbs more = 0.80 pts
Jwar lost by 3 lengths = -1.76 pts
Jwar ran 4 feet less (about half a length, per tbay trakus) = -0.28 pts

Put it all together and the difference between V and Jwar looks like 1.25 pts.  Which is a full point more than what is on the sheets.

SFEL
The TG figs shows the top two running the same fig.
FB carried 4 lbs more =  0.80 pts
FB lost by 0.5 lengths = -0.29 pts
FB ran 17 feet less than HtG (about 2 lengths, per s.a. trakus) = -1.18 pts

Put it all together and the difference between HtG and FB looks like 0.67 pts.
Which is 2/3rds of a point more than what is on the sheets.


Not trying to nit pick but these amounts could make a difference for pattern reads/condition moves of the horses listed. Just wondering if this is all due to differences in your interpretation of Ground Loss vs what Trakus lists. Would seem that is the only variable that can be different.

Regardless, I am certainly a tg devotee so not complaining, just trying for better info.

When we get some time we\'ll check the ground, but we\'ve discussed Trakus here before. Theydo some things better than others, and some tracks better than others (by their own admission).
