Several posters registered their disgust when former
claimer Willy Beamin won the Gr. I King\'s Bishop a few
weeks ago...

...but not a peep about King David winning Saturday\'s
Gr. I Jamaica, a giant class rise from some random $35K
seller he won on September 13th.

\"Interesting\" is one word I can think of, out of several.

It sure says something about the ability of the domestic crop of distance turf horses. European trainers will figure out which of their stock can run on firm CA turf and lasix and watch all the US based runners including POE.

A big weekend for Michael Maker, who also won a GR 1 at Keeneland Saturday. Neither
Grade 1 stakes win was for primary client Ken Ramsey. The winner of the Jamaica was
life and death to put away a NYB slow rat and lucky that the Clement runner
couldn\'t/wouldn\'t go through on the hedge.

Agree that POE will be a vulnerable favorite v Euros in Turf Classic. Can he get
another perfect trip in a 12 horse field?

Rick -- people are going to have to suck it up and give Willie B. some respect; he
was very game in defeat in his last race at Remington.

One might want to check out Summer Front\'s trip in that race. I think it\'s safe to say he was about to inhale the top two before he got stopped.

Horse ran an 87 Beyer which is like an Allowance NW 1 speed fig, broadly speaking. Doubt the move up, think the \"bog\" got the field.Happens all too often when races are run 30 lengths slower than expected, raw.

I was hoping someone would bring this up.

Willy Beamin got a 97 Beyer in his Kings\'s Bishop
win, which pretty slow for a Gr. I; that\'s why I
thought the complaints about Dutrow\'s alleged \"magic\"
with that one were unwarranted.

Rick,

Dutrows so called magic, along with others, recently \"exposed\" by Dr. Scollay and co\'s report to Gov Cuomo. Über aggressive use of permitted drugs and the needle pretty widespread.Report critical of TAP\'s standard operating pre race treatment.

Regulators need to quit bitching and change the rules or open up and inform the betting public what\'s going on.
