After the 2nd race they are moving things along rapidly, the 10th race will go off @ 5:19 maybe.

Really crazy thunder storms and tornado possibilities in the area this afternoon.

Frank:

Too many negative waves.

If we are going to have only one TG meteorologist,
maybe we need one who will be more optimistic..

I mean, geez, any chance of a locust swarm this weekend?

Love a turf firster at AP tomorrow

FrankD.

Richie,

The world did not end and the rains held off until after the races were over. A lot of rain coming overnight but all the severe stuff is south of Albany.

Friday and Saturday are both iffy. I reacted to the state and counties over reaction of activating their emergency systems expecting massive power outages.
I guess Kingston and down that way are getting the brunt of it.

See ya tomorrow,

FD

The 2YO filly out of Lemon Drop Kid, perhaps?

If so -- the word is out: she\'s supposed to be a runner.

As Harvey Pack would whisper, \"She just might be...
the fastest horse in the world

Don\'t want to step on any weather-toes here, but so far, so good; I work about a mile from the track and live a very short drive away and if first post was a half hour away I\'d think we\'d be fast and firm. Humidity is off the hook; just went out to get a sixer and am now sweating like a 1-for-eternity NYB trying to get through the last eighth on the Mellon.

Been poring over the National Weather Service area forecast discussions the past few days and reading those, I would have laid a couple paychecks @ 2/5 we were heading for a weather-pocalypse, so no longer sure what to think. The latest discussion\'s only mention of Saturday is this:

\"THE UPPER TROUGH AXIS
WILL MOVE OVER THE REGION SATURDAY HOWEVER THE UPPER LEVEL JET
WILL HAVE MOVED OFF TO OUR EAST.\"

Science was my worst subject so not sure if the upper level jet moving east is a good thing or not...perhaps TG can start making sheets for the local weatherfolk forecasting prowess? Frank D probably has more negative numbers on his sheet than the guys at WRGB, WNYT, and WTEN...the fact that I\'ll be making my first 2012 trip to Union Ave on Saturday may mean it\'s even money we\'ll get rained into a string of five horse fields...

Wow. I\'m picking against the STEAM.

Yes Sir.

FrankD.

Frank D\'s forecast sheet now reads 0-2-X

A total non effort from yours truly and every other weather forcaster for the Capital District. From the end of the world to I have to go out and water the plants and flowers as not a drop of rain feel here.

Today\'s forecast is scattered t-storms again but with less chance of severe weather than yesterday; whatever that means.

Good Luck,

Frank D.

About to head up. Would you say we are turfing today? My sources tell me that it was
drizzling throughout night in Saratoga

FrankD.

No clue Richie, right after I went out to water the plants it started raining here, not heavy.

Forecast for the whole deal is completely F$%^&*

Rick B.

As I\'m sure you know, this trainer takes money.
I\'ll skip the more granular prediction, but I\'d
expect less than ML.

We\'ve gotten a little caught up on rain here, but
the turf course at AP is *real* grass with deep
roots -- not some \"weeds and sand\" concoction like
Churchill -- so the inside could still be the best
part of the turf course.

Placement of \"those rails\" (J. Dooley language
idiosyncracy) was 42 feet yesterday; no telling
what they will be today, but the race just might
end up being as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Thanks and Good Luck.

And with Gary West as the owner, I would look to the P3 payoffs for further confirmation of intent.

Steady rain up here since I woke up around 7:30...yesterday we were supposed to board the windows and got nothing, today was supposed to be \"scattered\" showers and storms and we get a steady rain...right now it looks like one of those dark, it\'s gonna rain all day kind of skies...and that\'s you\'re spa weather update...

next up, sports with Tank McNamara...

Made wager with a teller yesterday for the 1st time in I dont know how long...
I waited to see how long the teller would be enthralled with her smartphone. at 45 and 4 (fast for the bet! Buried! Start of 0-2-X ) I was wondering where the supervisor was ... Yes, head buried in his phone. I am going back to losing money the old fashioned way ...

Good and Yielding
