It\'s the first Saturday 1986 and I was giddy with joy.  It was KY day and I had a cinch.  Without sheets I had the winner of the derby and told anyone who would listen.  There were only 2 possible winners in the Derby according to my handicapping method at that time(Dosage)one was Groovy and the other was Ferdinand.  Never mind that Ferdinand was being ridden by a has been jock and drew the worst post on the inside, I was sure he would win.  I proudly went up to the window and deposited my $5 win bet(which was alot of money for a student) and watch with amazement as the Shoe found the holes that put Ferdinand into the winner circle.  I didn\'t know at that time what it meant but I sure appreciate it now.  Who would have thought that the Shoe would\'ve been hurt riding a Bronco instead of a horse but he took it like a man and never complained.  The greatest is gone but will never forgotten.
