Congratulations to Christian Hellemers, who used to rep Betfair over here, and who used our data to finish second in the contest. Christian built his $7,500 into 61k, and got 75k in prize money to go with it. He had the lead going into the last 3 races, but got nailed at the wire by a guy who bet his remaining 7k on Drosselmeyer.

I was a little above even (holding about 11k) after the Turf, and bet that over the last 3 races trying to win the whole thing. Nope. What was much worse was that I had the first 4 legs of the pick 6 and was alive 3x5-- ending up with 4 on a day they had to pay out on 5. Overall I was a moderate loser for the weekend.
