I wonder...

Frankel horses losing and retiring, sound Pletcher 3 year olds being put away for the year, Dutrow horses getting sick and dying (like Pletcher\'s did last summer?), Iwinski stake horses getting sick and missing races...

Hmmm... maybe I won\'t have to add 5 points to the data base after all.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the non-stake horses.

TGJB--

As I mentioned in a previous post, I wonder what the PEACE RULES, MILWAUKEE BREW and EMPIRE MAKERS of the racing world will do in the breeding shed.

It takes weeks to months for certain substances (e.g. EPO and similar drugs) to clear a horse\'s system to the point of non-detection. It may not be a coincidence that a few previously red-hot trainers suddenly hit a \"slump\" a few weeks before the new \"extensive testing protocol\" starts up this fall for graded stakes races.

Either that or they suddenly forgot how to train...

Cheers.

They could always get a Ouija Board and ask for guidance from Oscar Barrera.

It isn\'t so bad that these fellows are likely using the stuff, because we can all take that into consideration when placing a bet.

What\'s really aggravating is watching them in front of the camera, in the winners circle, pontificating on why their horse won or was so worthy...or worse yet, listening to some of them predict how well their horse was going to do today because it had such bad luck last time.

Please spare me.

Perhaps these conversations can explain how a Dubai also-ran named TAFASEEL can suddenly look like the next coming during the Belmont spring meet and then fall to the point where he was a non-factor at Philly Park.

There really isn\'t a whole lot to wonder about. Frankel has not had any positives so it is difficult to say for sure that he uses drugs.

However, when he was winning every Grade I in sight, there was one thing we heard quite often that was a large part of his success:

Frankel uses SHEETS !!

Now if the other guy would be honest and say we took credit when he won so we should take the blame when he loses, credability would be restored.

Or maybe just explain why so many of his horses appear to over the top.

Did the numbers lead them over the top ???

Could it be the numbers.
