Beginner: I wonder if he was related to nyc1347...why the show bet?

Edgorman: Ridden by the always honest Larry Adams.

Rich Curtis: That F Lee Bailey sure is versatile. There aren\'t a lot of lawyers out there who have defended a slasher, a strangler, and a switcher.

Boscar Obarra: Remember it well.  Was there. Didn\'t bet it. Though  I know a few wise guys did, and collected an enormous triple.  All the \'exacta charters\' knew there was something odd about the horse, but not how odd.

Omitted in that story is the detail that Lebon ran once at BEL  before the winning race, and that serious money showed late in the exacta\'s that losing (up the track) day.  Almost nothing to win though. Very odd.

If I remember, it was the sister, or wife, or someone , that knew about the ringer, who bet that first time. Was a no go.

Yeah, next time out, wired them on the turf.   Larry Adams was a pisser.

Marlin: I thought all racehorses have a tatoo number on their upper lip for identification?  What year did that identifcation program start?

SoCalMan2: Ragozin claims to have cashed the race and to have been called in by the FBI to explain how he had it. Apparently that first race on the turf wasn\'t as bad as it appeared on the form.
