Barclay Tagg at Arlington today

Started by Rick B., June 25, 2011, 09:33:53 AM

Arlington is having one of the semi-annual \"Illinois Day\" cards, featuring 6 $100K stakes races restricted to Illinois nags pigs horses, and lookee here in the 10th race!

Why, it\'s Barclay Tagg, with his own little Ill-bred, #11 Gathering Cloud. ML 6-1.

And no one picks him.

Not DRF. Not Wizard. Not TG. Nobody I can find.

AYFKM? What, is the whole world trying to pocket this horse? Everybody suddenly respects normal, everyday Illinois-restricted (i.e., painfully slow) stock?

Please.

number5858: They did discuss this one on one of the SiriusXM shows this morning. Basically said that at 6:1 ML he has a good chance, but no sure thing.

alm: You got me looking at shippers in the stakes there today and I came away feeling that Joe Broussard\'s in the 8th was a more meaningful angle...he doesn\'t have the same resources as Tagg...sending the horse there meant more and I bet it...and it won pretty easily.  Thanks for giving me the idea.

Ol\' Spanky has been using Illinois as his personal bottomless withdrawal account for years. I can\'t believe he paid $11.00

You did all the thinking on this one...and you followed through. Hope you crushed.
