Jerry tried. His email got to me a day before the others.

The BC tells us what day to send them out. I\'m actually curious as to why they need to do this if they\'re selling out (or selling all the good ones) this far in advance anyway.

But I figure, it can only be a plus for our guys to have the option, so what the hell.

Just because I\'m whining doesn\'t mean someone else won\'t like the seats that are left.

Truth is, I have a BIG problem with paying anything at all to enter a race track -- I don\'t care if Jesus Christ is riding a reincarnation of Northern Dancer in the 8th, I simply don\'t want to pay to enter a GAMBLING facility.

So I admit to being pretty biased against the whole \"premium pricing\" thing on racing\'s big days; even if they had super nice seats available in the presale, I probably would pass.

Never meant to infer that TG did anything wrong here. Apologies.

Lost Cause

I\'m right with you there Rick.  I wouldn\'t mind $1 to cover the little old lady\'s salary and benefits at the gate but anything more to enter a racetrack just bothers me, meanwhile I\'ll lose a couple thousand in a couple of hours but that doesn\'t seem to bother me...  NYRA is charging 5 bucks to get into the clubhouse at Belmont everyday.  Makes no sense to me.  Now that NYCOTB is closed I guess they figure they have a monopoly again so why not charge whatever to get in.   My pop takes the bus there but they have it set up so he has to walk for 15 minutes after you get off to get to the simulcast area and then back again at night.  No shuttle service to the buses.  My dad has cut the days he goes becuase of that.  These guys really have no clue.

Topcat

Don\'t believe it\'s been mentioned as yet . . . but another contingent whose ticketing demands MUST be met are the various BC race sponsors, for whom prime
ticketing is a wholly-understandable perk . . .
