There is some pretty funny stuff going on at the other board, and wih apologies to Joe Pesci, I mean ha ha funny. That\'s not a shot.

But you guys don\'t get it (with the exception of Vito, who is in the ballpark). All posts by Chuckles (Cube) are about Chuckles. No exceptions. He needs attention like a plant needs water. Yes, he would love for people to tell him how smart he is. But a strong second choice is to have them attack him, in order to elevate his importance and set himself up in discussions as at eye level with serious professionals in this game, figure makers and others, at least in his own mind. And he will act out until he gets himself thrown out, as he did here. The only reason Friedman is letting him stick around is because he takes shots at us, but he will eventually cross the line.

Best line, from Hoarse Whisperer (paraphrasing): You (Chuckles) talking to professional figure makers about figures is like thinking you can instruct monks about Eastern philosophy because you saw the Karate Kid.

Second best, unintentionally: our old friend CH thinking people are so interested in what he has to say that he goes on at length, unsolicited, about why he does NOT have an opinion about Uncle Mo.

Chuckles the Cube in a full blather mode over at Redgozin, seems like some of the
actual customers getting restless.

JB -- I always wondered why you don\'t password protect the Redboard Room.

JB,

I liked Hoarse Whisperer better in the old days, when his favorite sheets-boards posting topics included:

1: The Central Park Jogger case.

2: His pick-up basketball games.

3: The length of his fingernails.

4: His decision to go to grad school and become a teacher (God help the children).

5: His trip to an abortion-rights rally.

These days, all he seems to do is attack people for going off topic.

Is there humor in this? Sure, if you know the history of this zealous convert. But it will be lost on almost everyone.

TGJB

Quasi-related: I just want to state for the record that contrary to what someone has suggested, I do not pay Chuckles for every time he references us over there.

I respectfully disagree.  History can be swept aside to create an ally of a former foe once that former foe becomes the enemy of an even bigger former foe.  See U.S. history from whenever until now.  Posting merely to hear the sound of one\'s own literary voice with only the merest pretext of substance is due cause for attack.  I think you err in your choice of a target.

You mean that my target should be Cube instead of Hoarse Whisperer? I\'m sorry, Moose, but I don\'t have the energy to make either of them a target. One of them (Hoarse) is an unctuous fraud who announces 10 times a day that he \"bought the Sheets\" and thinks this isn\'t a blatant example of protesting too damned much. The other one is a racist oaf who knows less about speed figures than he does about \"Atlas Shrugged\" and who once made an endless post in which he called Ayn Rand \"He\" 12 times. A plague on both their houses.

TGJB

Paging Womanly Woman...

(Another inside joke for those who have been here what, eight years or so)?

You didn\'t leave me any wiggle room.

Okay, riddle me this \'cause I\'m a little dense:  how does Cube avoid the chopping block over there with his useless posts and, euphemistically speaking, tasteless remarks?  Given the name, is it a geometry thing?

Well, I know JB thinks they keep Cube around because Cube attacks Thoro-Graph. There\'s certainly some truth in this, but I don\'t believe it\'s the entire answer--because when it comes to speed figures, Cube is such a transparent dunce that nobody could take him seriously.

I think the larger answer lies in the history of the Rags board. If you know the history of that place, you know that if Hoarse Whisperer (or his previous aliases) wants a particular thing to happen, if he demands that something happen, it will not happen. Hoarse Whisperer keeps calling for Cube to be banned. Therefore, Cube has not been banned. You\'d think that after so many years, Hoarse Whisperer would understand this pattern, but he\'s always the last one to figure out these sorts of things, which is why the joke is so often on him.

There is another rule over there that is related to the one above: Over the years, countless posts have been deleted on the Rags board, but posts that contain attacks on Hoarse Whisperer (or his other aliases) do not get deleted. They stay up. You can write pretty much anything on the Rags board and the post will stay up--provided you remember to take a shot at Hoarse Whisperer in the post.

Hoarse Whisperer hasn\'t figured this out yet, either. So of course he has given no thought at all to why it is the case.

Bottom line: The best way to get Cube banned is to get Hoarse Whisperer to demand that Cube not be banned.

TGJB

Ouch. And not my ouch.

Yes, I do think Friedman keeps him around because he takes shots at me. And I\'m all for it. Can\'t be a bad thing to have us mentioned on that board as often as the hosts, and it\'s pretty clear the other guys there ain\'t exactly enamored of Chuckles, any more than we were here. It\'s like getting a bad review from Hitler.

And yes, few people know less about figure making than that guy. At least few who offer opinions.

Rarely go to the Rags board these days. What was Hoarse Whisperer\'s previous nom de pied? Is he that ____ maroon who used to go by _______? Offline answer: No.

Here\'s a very much incomplete list of his names:

 1: Steve Plever

 2: SP

 3: Nobel Prize Committee

 4: Czar Chasm

 5: Hoarse Whisperer

(And I believe he redboarded Arcangues under all of them.)
