Man this Card is LOADED! Plenty of full fields and BAD favorites.:)

Michael D.

the Japanese filly would really have to hate the off going to lose here. I\'d key her, even at lowish odds. all below might not be a bad idea. anything could happen.

hate the JCGC.

think the Pletcher breaks on top from the rail in the sprint and never stops. WSW could pop if we get a speedball track.

hate the Beldame. use Mott at low odds.

the best race is the turf, but much of the value might vanish with the scratches.

I\'ll post an analysis on the turf if the race doesn\'t get decimated by scratches. NOS looked interesting after a quick glance, and I\'ll have to watch TG\'s races (the filly).

Shared Account had a tough trip, perhaps a poorly timed ride, was game and likes soft turf-will use with Red Desire as Michael D. rates her a standout.

In race 5, have been looking forward to Bluegrass Jet\'s next start, but this is a tough bunch.  Film Making out of that tough mare Film Maker, who liked it soft, and 2nd Mott.  Also like jockey switch Prado to more aggressive Castellano on Schettino\'s new acquisition who should cross over to get the lead and see how the track plays out.  Will box 4,6,11.

In the JCGC just hoping Dry Martini gets a check.

Michael D.

Billy,

Good luck with Dry Martini. 10f at Bel is a pretty good fit. I\'ll have to see the track condition before deciding on which runners to use in the pick 3s and 4s. From a betting standpoint, I don\'t like the race.

The 5th is a pretty good maiden event. I think I used that Bluegrass Jet up at the Spa. Not sure they\'ll keep it on the grass though as they figure to get a decent bunch if it switches to the main.

A few good ones at Hol as well. Really looking forward to watching this Twirling Candy run. Would be nice to see him head into the BC undefeated.

Was just thinking the same earlier today about that Japanese Filly - in appreciation and respect for her numbers and the Japanese training methods , figure she\'s going to be tough but it\'s got to be a little soggy out there if stays on .. . with that said - I\'m leaning towards GG in that race for a price  . RD in P3\'s /4\'s with others etc . .. Best Racing Luck All   !

Red Desire has never been on soft turf.  She is a bleeder so first Lasix might help.

A quick glance at the Joe Hirsch, which I am assuming will be run over a boggy
course, there is only one runner in the entire field who has ever run a negative
TG #.

That negative number was posted over a very boggy course (look at the final time
of that race to get an idea of course condition), in a stakes race named
for another legendary turf writer.

Morning Line 15/1 before scratches.

Think I read that Rail Trip races with an aluminum pad today. Did he race with
protective footwear in Cali?

The Vosburgh looks like a competitive race, but might sit it out and wait for the
2 Pick 4s that follow. I can pull for RudyRod to win with Temecula Creek so this
one can go on to the BC Sprint. Let the whole racing world see what a brilliant
horseman RudyRod is.

(TC\'s sire, Gulch, won the 1988 BC Sprint. Gulch was by Mr. Prospector out of the
very fast mid- Atlantic mare Jameela).

Here is a homework assignment if you have access to replays. Check out Main Track
Only Raffinator\'s July 2nd Belmont race. My single in the finale in the multiple
race wagers.

richie,

Turf Classic:
He would make a very nice exacta with the forward moving horse who won this race last year and is 20/1 !!!

Michael D.

5 and 11 off the turf. It\'s sunny and yielding, so that\'s a pretty good sign. And the main is fast.

As for Red Desire, I see a few people taking a stand against her at low odds first time over an off course, which is a perfectly logical position to take. My view was more of an indictment of the rest of the field rather than a strong stand on a horse trying something for the first time at low odds, something my father taught me never to do.

Bee,

No, according to TG which is very good with bar shoes, aluminum pads info. DRF(VERY poor with shoe info) and my memory also say no.

Strange that Tricky(not the brightest bulb) seems to have developed a fetish for aluminum pads dating back to Big Brown. I know there were issues with Rail Trips back and feet which were worked on.

Rail Trip kinda slow on TG,kinda typical for Cali synth runners, compared to other services.Horror post for RT as they start on the turn. He will have to be  sent out of there to have a chance at getting a decent trip and will have Haynesfield going inside him.

Re Raffinator on July 2nd, he was also against a slow surface that favored horses up close that day.

Good Luck,
Mike

Bet Twice

I\'m loving Widcat Brief in the Vosburgh - huge overlay at anything near the ML of 12-1.  Will use with Girolamo.

The Flower Bowl seems wide open - don\'t like Red Desire at short odds, althoug can\'t toss.  Like Keertana and Shared Account who are both getting weight but don\'t like the outside draw.  GG should get a nice trip....

Mott\'s horse looks tough in the Beldame.

Telling offers value in the Joe Hirsch - lead up to this looks almost identical to last year.

Like Fly Down in the JCGC - even a couple point bounce off last puts him in this with good trip and weight advantage.
