So many products advertising the edge we need to make money in this industry.
I buy the figs occasionaly, however i pay close attention to them for whatever rhyme or reason.1 thing is for sure.I wouldn\'t give the figs the time of day if
the Essence didn\'t endorse them.

\"We\'re very pleased with her, how she ran today,\" said winning trainer Steve Asmussen. \"It was an awfully warm day, and she kept her composure. She was very relaxed off the other mare. The first thing Calvin said when he came off her was he loved how she came home today, and I think that will be the key to her future success.

Albeit Asmussen is not the essence,he is on top of his business and he uses figs.
one look at Rachels sheet and anyone can tell she\'s finished.I\'d much rather read
about people on this forum going golfing(even though the game THEY\'RE playing doesn\'t resemble golf in any manner)than listen to all the experts saying Rachel
is through.

pinch it,sqeeze it
off the turf in the breeze it
doesn\'t waver so true on its line
one hop maybe two n stops on a dime

Personally speaking , I\'m inclined to believe that Rae runs a neg - 10 or -11 in the next couple of races !
How about a second consecutive HOY award at this point if she wins out the string ? . ..

Marcus, you\'re right, she just keeps getting stronger.

She\'ll go undefeated the rest of the year, recording astounding numbers, and be
awarded HOY for the second straight year, capped off by a BC Classic in which she
deals Zenyatta her first career defeat.

This is only after the stewards look at the photo for 8 minutes before declaring
RA the winner over Zen, the lights at CD having failed and the Classic being run
in near darkness. One length back is a gelding Rudy Rodriquez claimed for 20K at
the Fall Belmont meet. Favored Quality Road laid down in the paddock after being
saddled and refused to move, necessitating a late scratch.

After the race Jess Jackson announces that RA will campaign for 3 more years,
hoping to equal Kelso\'s great feat of 5 consecutive HOYs between 1960 - 1964.

Moss/Shireffs announce the retirement of Zenyatta; she breezes 3/8 in 37 at Santa
Anita 2 weeks later.

So, anyway, I\'m an 18, which means I average around 92, however, I bounced last time to a 97, but I think you can draw a line through that because there was too much moisture in the surface.  I think a sharp pattern reader, i.e., one possessed of the Essence, would see that I\'m sitting on a big one, ready to run an 88.

Hey Richie !

Whats that old saying : Those who can\'t do ...     Personally , I could never lose that old baseball swing  .  ..

Eight minute photo and QR pulls a union card -wow ! I\'ll probably have a p-3/ 4 going  , hope there\'s a live feed from the Stewards office  .. .

I never got to see Kelso or pretty much anyone pre the Go and Go Belmont unfortunately( except on youtube ) - but have since tried to make up for it post haste ! Thanks to TG and my many good friends met along the way !

Hope you and everyone has a great summer !!!

Ritchie you got this all wrong. Sherriffs will enter Zenyatta on Friday in the Ladies and say, \"Come and get me\".Jackson will say \"Champions were made to be tested and run in the Classic. These two will never face each.

The Rudy runner will win after having been Supplemented for $700,000. Rachel will be beaten a head after taking the first turn 10 wide by Borel.

Quality Road will go in the Sprint after he flops in the Jockey Club at the distance.

There will be talk of Rachel vs Zenyatta in the Clark Hcp and CD will up the purse by another 10K as Zenyatta heads back to Calif and Rachel to Louisiana....

Silver Charm

I left out the Rudy runner paid $5.20 as the favorite....

moose,

Your analysis is flawed. For true golf, moisture in the ground is an advantage
for the player over the course.

Is that it? Jerry said this was a fast crowd? criticizing golfers? I\'ll let you in on some facts. The gentleman i refer to as \"Essence\" has forgot more about
horse racing than 99% of this bored(and i do mean bored)knows.Poetry is art and
is a matter of taste and if you have no taste for mine so be it.Real golf on the other hand is measured by a number or figure if you will.People blathering on
about scraping their ball around in 90+ strokes is NOT golf. They are the same people who ride in a cart, drink, smoke cigars and $#@% their pants when something barely resembling a good shot is executed.I find it very strange that so-called experts in the horse racing industry can look at Rachels sheet and find
something wrong. From what i\'ve read on this bored most of you strike me as walking
contradictions. Most of you blow so much smoke up jerry\'s behind, yet a horse who has run -1,-1 and -3 on the very scrolls you adhere to is deemed done, through,on tilt, washed up.

ps:please remember to fix ball marks, divots
and rake bunkers.

A sign in the halfway house at Richmond County Country Club (which, strangely,
is located after the 10th hole), says that \"Golf is like sex. You don\'t have
to be good at it to enjoy it.\"

The only time I have found it necessary to use a cart is when I have brought
along too much hefeweizen to carry in my bag.

I\'ll pass that along to my caddy.

Now Flight, I\'m sure you don\'t handicap graded stakes the same as state bred NW1 for every variable, do you?  Likewise, moisture on the course will affect a scratch player differently than a double digit like myself.  First of all, if I\'m going to reach a 420 par four in regulation, I need fairway roll.  My 240 yard drives now become 215, so I need to hit a cart path and have it carom off a tree to reach in two.  Also, a moist surface takes away much of the bounce that I need off a fairway to insure that I don\'t take a premature divot, while the scratch player need only recalibrate his or her swing to take advantage of the wet track.

Regarding your comments to Richie, without knowing how deeply your tongue was buried in your cheek, it strikes me that you\'re confusing behavior with skill.  The boorish clowns to whom you refer still play the game of golf. They just have no credence for talking about their $20 Nassau as if it was the final round at Augusta.  The game stands apart from the boneheads who besmirch it from on high with their attitude of noblesse oblige, or those who soil its pants with retread frat house antics.  The 18th green is the great equalizer in the game.  My putt  for that $20 Nassau will be every bit as nerve racking as Phil\'s for a green jacket.  Likewise, in this arena, we collect the same $2 bet whether it\'s for the Derby or a $4K claimer at Finger Lakes.  They\'re both just games.  When you lose perspective on what you\'re doing, or who you are in the context of the bigger picture, then you are no longer \"playing the game.\"

You forgot to mention that the photo took so long to determine the winner because Queen Martha, running back to her huge figure in the Lady\'s Secret, hung on determinedly in deep stretch to nearly pull of the upset at odds of 161-1.

Good Luck,
Joe B.
