Interesting note to today\'s race: Bruno de Julio in the Racing Digest says Zen is not her old self since returning from Oaklawn. He says she\'s making noise in the mornings, something she\'s never done, and he said she looks a little beat up. I fully realize information like this can bury you as gambler, but it is rather interesting as she carries a huge impost and faces two legit fillies. I have a bad feeling about today. Sure hope I\'m wrong. But I was just thinking no one wins forever. My only flaw in De Julio\'s logic is why wouldn\'t Sheriffs just scratch her if she\'s really not right??? I mean he\'s protected her her entire career, why does he allow her to get beat today???

She hasn\'t been working like her usual self.  She\'s also coming off a race on the dirt and the cushion track plays more like dirt.  I say its 70-30 that she doesn\'t fire her A race.

Assuming she goes off at her usual odds, as a horse player, we live for situations like this.  I am going to play against her in the multi race exotics and in the tri.  If she really doesn\'t fire there is a small chance that she goes to the back of the field and stays there if M. Smith thinks something is amiss and chooses not to stay on the gas.

That being said, it\'s always risky to play against such a nice horse.  But risk vs. Reward is what this game is about.

I didn\'t read that, but as I posted a day or so ago, I just don\'t think she is acting like herself leading up to this race.  Sure hope I\'m wrong because I\'m a very big fan of hers, and her connections, but I do think she is beginning to feel her age. Her works have really been uninspiring....
If you\'re not a fan of Z, today is a good day to try to capitalize.

Nice job, 1/2 at the bell, must have scared off a few on the sure thing with the stories.

 What\'s the $2 parlay on the 17?\\

The matchup with RA would be sweet right now.

From Andy Harrington at National Turf:

ZENYATTA Jun 7 HOL  6 1:15.1B M FT A
Smith up; broke behind Breakmark and Green Cat (both 103.4) waited as long as he could, swooping around and by those two with her usual galloping power in 39.1, 103.4, 115.3 out on the bend in 128.4. Looking strong.---Grade: A

ZENYATTA May 30 HOL  6 1:12.4H M FT A
Breezed behind El Vino (116.0) until the turn, drawing away (rider let him go on the turn) waiting throughout the lane while clear in 38.4, 114.3. Looking happy again.---Grade: A
