About as bad as it could be...Here is the most up-to-date official forecast from the NWS

National Weather Service Louisville Kentucky
636 PM EDT Wednesday Apr 28 2010

Thursday night - Sunday...
..excessive rainfall and strong storms likely this weekend

The main focus for this weekend will be a low pressure system over
southern Canada and the western Great Lakes. It will push a cold
front across the plains and into the Midwest approaching our area by
Friday night. This front will produce strong to severe storms.

In summary for this weekend...several waves of precipitation will bring
rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches to the area total with locally
higher amounts in heavy rain bands...possibly 3 to 5 inches. Strong
storms will be possible Friday night especially west of Interstate
65. Strong to severe storms will be possible late Saturday night
into Sunday morning.

Update...

Essentially, Friday looks to be dry (until late Fri. evening)...Saturday looks to be a \'wash-out\', with 1-3 inches of rain in the Louisville area, depending on how heavy the thunderstorms are....
