Less Whining/More Handicapping: SA Today

OK, I\'ll now stop whining for a moment or two about the simulcast dispute and get back to what I do best(): Handicapping.  (collective sigh of relief, some laughter for sure). . .I\'m making the pilgrimage to Suffern, NY today because there is a horse I\'m following at SA.

Race 7: 6-Universal Peace-now the 15-1 am line is absurd, and I really like this gelding as he has much upside and is facing no world-beaters. 5-1 would be super - he\'s my multi-race exotic key as well. I would use 7-Never underneath as he seems to be on the upswing for Baffert. I\'m not sure why Bejarano got off Universal peace to ride 11-Snowmaster? That is a mystery to me, but I won\'t second guess any more.

Looking at some other races:

Race 3: Looks like a two horse race - 5-Quid Non: appears a legit pace threat - should she be unmolested on the lead, she\'ll prove tough to run down. 1-A Clever Ten: Is a nice moving filly, and she\'s had a brief freshening, so she\'ll be charging late. 3-Blame the wine is an ultra-game, over-achiever, but she usually doesn\'t fire against allowance types,so use her for third (and get a $100 trifecta?).

Race 5: 8-Eternally Fast-seems like the fastest both in pace and numbers, so let\'s hope speed isn\'t death at Santa Anita today. An odds-on runner who looks tough.

Race 6: 3-Alphie\'s Bet-looks awfully tough (again) at admittedly low odds. Being by Tribal Rule (Storm Cat), grass shouldn\'t pose a problem - he was very impressive to me in his stakes try in last -seems likely to overwhelm these mediocre rivals in the stretch. Hopefully Mitchell\'s runner, 5-Romance Is Family will take some money based on his huge top in last-I\'m just not convinced he\'s all that.

My late pick four is: 8-3-6-all (10 runners)
Pick 6: 1,5 with all(six runners) with 8 with 3 with 6 with all(10 runners)
In race 7 I may play a super: 6 with 7 with all with all and 6 with all with 7 with all with all and perhaps a tri as well 6/7/all, 6/all/7. If I\'m alive in multi-race exotics, I do not have to bet the 6 to win but if not I will.
