2 races in the books and although the track is listed as good, if the first couple of races are any indication of what\'s going to happen the front runners may have an edge.

Race 1 was won by Inger Management who dueled with Dixieland Star all the way around. No one else was close.

In Race 2 Just Ben ripped off 7f in 1:21 in a 12 length wire to wire win.

Rick B.

Yeah, that\'s some \"good\" track, alright.

What\'s \"fast\" there -- when they tilt the track down 30 degrees to the finish line?

Guys, when Belmont is wet fast, which it is now, raw times are off the charts. Watch the ridiculous figure they give the Zito horse in the 2nd race.

We can take this for what it\'s worth, but in an interview with Desormeaux after he won the first turf he thought that the track wasn\'t as yielding as he expected.

The 3rd was Inner Turf.

After winning the 4th, Desormeaux said the Widener Course was \"knee deep\" in
spots.

The way I\'m playing it is that the course is soft enough to aid the 2 Euros,
Zambesi Sun and Lauro, in the Manhattan.

I think ESPN is doing a tremendous job today with their coverage, we are getting all of the post parades, overhead camera angles, relevant comments from jockeys about the course condition, and all of it in HD which looks fantastic.  Too bad these guys wont take over for HRTV and TVG.
