Does anybody else see this an 0-2-X in the making?

Yes, even though I have not seen the sheets (what is the ROTW?), from what I have heard on this board, he is a motal lock to 0-2-X.
NO WAY he can repeat a neg 4(if that\'s what his top is), or repeat his last. Doesn\'t mean he can\'t win, though.

Pleasantly Perfect looks like the winner in this race. I would not be at all surprised to see him earn a negative figure and, at the weights, that would put him in front of Congaree even if Congaree repeats his last (which seems unlikely). In fact, Pleasantly Perfect looks like a potential horse of the year to me off his great line to date. He is bred to develop late and run his best at the classic distances.

The problem is that I don\'t think you are going to get much of a price on PP so to make money on the race you have to play Congaree to \"X\" and the Baffert stakes horses have been red-hot lately. Also, after PP I have a hard time picking anyone else to run second other than MB and he is very likely to get overbet. I don\'t like PS. Cottage has a shot to run second if you can excuse his last(which was pretty bad). FD could save ground and set a reasonable pace but he comes in very slow and would have to improve a lot to run second (which seems unlikely).

I guess what I am saying is I am not sure how to bet this race even with a strong opinon on PP and Congaree.

Speaking of good races, the 4th race at GP is a stakes-like allowance. Hail The Chief looks strong and may go off at a price thanks to the presence of Harlan\'s Holiday and Request For Parole. Should be a good race.

Good luck to all.

On only 5 of out of 415 occasions, Akiko Gothard started a horse on 10 or less days rest. She won 3 of the 5. Isn\'t this something worth knowing about one of her horses which has competitive nos., whether you\'re thinking of betting on or against a horse she enters on short rest? To my way of thinking, the small size of the sample is itself worth noting, assuming that the trainer is otherwise competent.

Oh yeah, Congaree. I stayed at the OTB an extra 20 mins just to see him run, & he sure didn\'t look to me like he bounced. Baffert says he\'s developed into a big massive horse, totally different physically than he used to be, & he certainly looked the part in the post parade and warm-up. At this point, Congaree vs M\'Doro looks be one of the more interesting match ups in some time.

I guess old CONGAREE is just a good race horse. This horse is a freak right now.
