I apologize if someone brought this up over the weekend on the board and I didn\'t see it, I have been travelling and didn\'t have computer access.

Anyway, I was very intrigued by Larry Jones\' comments in the DRF about taking his time with Old Fashioned and not being in any rush with a Feb. target date for his return:

\"Jones and owner Rick Porter are targeting a February 3-year-old debut for Old Fashioned. The colt could make his first 2009 start in either the Feb. 7 Risen Star at Fair Grounds, or the Feb. 16 Southwest at Oaklawn.\"

It seems like Jones took last year\'s lessons to heart and is taking it easier with Old Fashioned than he did with Eight Belles.

If they stick with this plan of taking their time, giving the horse alot of time to recover from these huge efforts and space the races better than they did last year leading up to the Derby, this one could be very very dangerous on the First Sat in May.
