Jerry are you trying to steal thunder from Alan Bombowitz?  54-1 on Hint  in the last race. I got shut out trying to make another bet when it went to 45-1 I will definitely look at that angle now.  I owe you guys a round a Ciro\'s next trip up.

Hey Alan i wasn\'t there for that play, but can you explain the logic?

Thanks,
NC Tony

I don\'t know what Jerry\'s logic was, but the trainer has a very good overall record/ROI on turf and his limited record with first time starters on turf suggested that the horse was usable. I think he was 2 for 7 with firsters on turf over the last 5 years. He also had a winner with a second time starter on turf whose debut was taken off the turf. So if you wanted to stretch it, you could say he was 3 for 8. The one question mark was that yesterday was a maiden claimer and his record with firsters was with MSW(S). The lack of money showing doesn\'t seem to matter with this guy.

miff

Several used him as a bomb because the entire field was VERY suspect and pretty slow. Nice bomb pick!

Not me Tony, JB was doing the seminar with Bill. Full kudos to him, nice pick. Easy to talk now after the fact but Miff\'s right, the field was less than stellar, and look at the sire profile, specifically the TGI for dirt and turf. Hold for Gold gets much faster turf runners. Have to think JB mentioned this. The sheet is available in the Red Board Room.

Back in the office. The sheet is still up in the RBR, look at the trainer stats (decent first out, at big prices), the full sibling, and the sire on grass.

I had 2 of the 3 pick 5s on a relatively small play, and a good pick 3, turned a serious losing weekend into a decent winner right at the end. Only used 2 horses in that race in the pick 6, three (including second finisher) in the pick 3.
