Its kind of fitting that the big guy drew the rail for the biggest test of his short life. Nothing has been easy on him this Spring from a post postition standpoint but he\'s proved he\'s bulletproof from just about everything, bad hoof notwithstanding. After today\'s draw, the camp can jokingly say \"We\'re #1\" and not be accused of rubbing it in or being cocky. I\'m signing off for the spring season. Headed out of town on BIZ and will miss the race. That said - I will try to cold deck the Superfecta for laughs. Here it is:

Uncle Buck\'s stab at the Belmont cold deck super:

Who is Guadalcanal and does he have speed?

Dudley

Guadalcanal is a 5-race maiden owned by Eugene Melnyk. No idea yet on his running style, but an interesting addition to the entries.

5 Starts: M - 2 - 1, $16,100

By Graeme Hall

Perfect Drift

Guadalcanal has run five times, his last race was a 12f MSW on the turf at CD where he closed from 14 lengths behind to lose by a nose.  He earned a career best 82 Beyer in the race.  He has absolutely no speed.

His breeding is Graeme Hall - Bessette (Quest For Fame)

His nickname is \"Rick\'s Natural Star\"

speed? no.

his last run was a mile and a half maiden race on turf with a :49, 1:14 pace, and he was 14 lengths back.

he\'s 0 for 5; lost his two dirt races this year by a combined 43 lengths.

LOL...At least Rick\'s Natural star had speed in that race...

Okay so let\'s review possible negatives for Big Brown, remember i\'m saying possible negatives

Quarter crack
Distance
Number regression
Low Odds
and now inside post (even Dutrow said he would have preferred to draw outside)

I can\'t do it..He will probably win despite all of it but I just can\'t play him..
